  If you read my reviews you know I stay here quite often. This time they had a problem, the air conditioning was switched to heating and this cannot be overridden in your rooms and a sit was unseasonably warm outside the room temperatures became quite unacceptable.
  I measure a hotel on not what issues it has but how it solves them. I mentioned it once and a fan appeared in my room along with a letter from the manager offering sincere apologies and that a new room would be available should I require it. The fan sufficed.
  I stayed on the club floor on this occasion and in large part it is great to have meetings as drinks etc are freely available and snacks are provided at regular intervals. Breakfast is better in the lobby as there is far more choice and service is quicker if you require anything cooked (omelette as an example) plus it's nice clean but can get busy but never been an issue for me
  

• Good, but still working out some kinks

  We went there at the end of August. The hotel is well designed & looks fabulous, certainly much better than any other Sheraton you will see. We had received a pretty nice discount to book here, which I assumed was because they wanted to draw more customers to their new property. That discount made this an excellent value for us, but the hotel was still working out some kinks.
  The staff was extraordinarily friendly, although most hadn't yet serviced enough English speaking guests to know enough "Hotel English" to get by. One of the Front Desk managers (young lady from Spain) was especially helpful.
  Ate dinner in the big buffet restaurant, but they must have been busier than expected as they ran out of whatever they were carving when I entered (6:30 on a Saturday night is not very late). It looked the kitchen was running out or substituting a few of the other items as well. The two hosts or managers that were working did come to our table (& most of the others around me) multiple times, but if you're going to charge a luxury price, you have to be prepared to deliver a luxury product.
  Late night Room Service was prompt, hot and as described on the menu.
  The bed was the most comfortable one I had slept on in China. The bathroom & shower are top notch.
  The Health Club has the basic equipment you need to get in a decent workout. Neither one of the two whirlpools were working properly during the two days I was there. Sauna & steam room were good. The indoor pool is one of the better indoor pools you are going to use and the outdoor pool seems to be designed for a "wow" moment, since it sits up on a ledge overlooking the beach.
  There were a few other outlets which i did not get a chance to use.

• One of my favourite hotel in China

  I have been there about 15 days this year in 3 different trips and I must say that I really love this place! This is definitely one of my favourite hotel in China, and I have been in a lot of places! The room is clean, the service is great, the food also is good. I really liked room service for burgers and fruits, Also breakfast and dinner at the main floor are good, there are mainly chinese dishes but also some choice of western food. For sure this is the best place to stay if you come to Zhenjiang. I truly recommend it.

• Effective accommodation for the business traveller

  Firstly I would state that I have stayed in this hotel before. This was a 3 night stay so much longer than I would normally be in one hotel
  Pro's
  Good solid wifi connection throughout - critical
  Good rooms (I was upgraded) but the standard rooms are just as good
  Great location for high speed rail link (5 min walk).
  Great location for night time, with a wanna plaza a 2 min walk with plenty of restaurants a Starbucks and other small bars all ready to allow you to kick back and relax
  Good breakfast selection and eating area
  Con's
  No coffee making facility in room and while not critical if you are like me on a business trip I rarely sleep for more than 2 or 3 hours at a time so this helps me
  Air conditioning was on throughout the hotel but could not get the room temperature below 22 degrees, this was the key reason it did not get a 5 rating as this led to uncomfortable nights sleeps
  Would still recommend this hotel and the rates are great too

  We recently spent three nights and whilst the room was well furnished, beds comfortable, the carpet was very dirty. We had the dinner, bed and breakfast option which was fine although most of the meals were geared towards Asian guests which is fine considering that most of the clientele are Asian. The staff were very helpful and attentive. My husband was on business nearby and we also attended a wedding in the city.
