  I've stayed in this hotel now about 6 separate times. I look forward to working in this city and this hotel is one of the reasons. The breakfast is wonderful. The gym and pool are well managed. The hotel is well maintained and the staff are very helpful. There are some challenges in the air conditioner does not always work well, but they come to work on it rapidly. The internet can be very slow, but that is true everywhere in China. It is close to lots of small Chinese restaurants that one can walk to. this is a plus as getting a taxi can be challenging.

  The hotel is located near the subway "Minhang Lu" station and close to Zhengdong New District. So, it is quite convenient to go anywhere in the city. This time, I could get a room upgrade with my HHonnors Diamond Card, and therefore I felt the stay really worth for money.

  Here's the event from my stay that stands out. I arrived at the airport at 4am because my flight was very delayed from Shanghai. The driver that had been arranged wasn't there, I had been unable to get money from any ATM in the airports in Shanghai or Zhengzhou and I had no cell phone service. I sorted out a taxi from those waiting at the airport at that hour and by the time I got to the hotel, safely and with no shenanigans it has to be said, I was totally wrung out and had no RMB (local currency). I just said to the front desk clerk, please help. He opened a cash drawer, gave the money to a lobby boy to pay the taxi, noted my account as owing that money and checked me in. There was no "I can't help you because my manager's not on duty" or "We don't do that." He just fixed the problem and I was grateful.
  Another event. I sat in the lobby bar one evening have a drink with a colleague. I left my watch -- just an expensive digital watch that I travel with. I didn't realize it at the time. A few days later we were there again and she came running over and asked me to wait, while she got my watch in an envelope from the front desk. Because we had paid cash the first night, she hadn't known our names. When I tried to tip her to show my appreciation, she insisted she wouldn't take it.
  All in all the staff were really great. Breakfast is glorious, especially if you like a variety and are interested in non-Western food. My only complaint there is that they have a system where they scrape the plates into a bin on a cart that sits right in the middle of the dining room. It's just gross. And it's not hygienic. The clean coffee mugs and what not are on shelves very close by.
  The rooms are nice and spacious and clean.

  We loved our stay at the hilton in zhengzhou. Our room was spacious and comfortable, breakfast buffet was amazing, and we enjoyed using the hotel pool, hot tub, and fitness room. The location is great- walmart, carrefour, burger king, subway, and many other restaurants, a metro line station, and a starbucks all within 500 meters. We will definitely stay here again if we ever come back to zhengzhou.
  The staff was extremely polite and helpful. We have 3 kids and asked if we could have everything removed from our minibar so we didn't have any accidental purchases- the hotel was very accommodating and allowed us to do that. The beds were so comfortable and the towels were plush and soft and plentiful (with a family of 5 we never had to call for more towels, they always provided us with enough during our week long stay)

• Great hotel, except for Internet...

  This hotel is a wonderful value and provides excellent service and great accommodation. Be aware that the quality of the Internet connection is very poor however, even if you elect to complete the "upgrade" experience. Investing in a good cellular data plan would be a must for any business traveler needing access to Internet facilities.
