  Booked this hotel as I had some business in nearby Yangjiang and figured it would be a nice break to stay near the beach instead of in the city. Pictures of the hotel on the internet made it look like an attractive resort.
  I will say that the with the exception of a few things, the hotel is excellent. First of all the grounds are very nice. Typical of a Crowne Plaza in China. Rooms are large, with comfortable beds and good appointments. Maybe a bit too simply decorated and a bit sparse feeling due to hardwood floors instead of carpet, but that's really being opinionated on my part.
  We got in around 9 pm for check in and similar to one of the other reviews, there was a serious need for better staffing at the front desk and lobby. No doorman, lobby reception, bellman, concierge, greeting and we waited in line for 20 minutes to check in. I had a long day of travel and meetings, so I was a bit impatient. Behind the desk seemed chaotic and when I checked in they couldn't find my reservation. It was definitely not the kind of experience I have come to look forward to at a Crowne Plaza hotel. Especially since it was mid September on a weekday.....not peak season. Additionally, they had karaoke going in right in the front lobby. So while waiting for 20 minutes to check in, I was subjected to some seriously awful loud drunken singing. I love karaoke, but it doesn't really set the vibe for a lobby at a 5* hotel. Just my opinion, I could have been a bit more sensitive due to the long day as I previously mentioned.
  Anyways, I wanted to bring these up in a review. I definitely recommend this hotel as the area and facilities are really great. Tons of construction going on around this stretch of beach as it looks to be the new go to resort area due to proximity to GZ, HK and Dongguan etc.

  As you would expect from a Crowne Plaza property, this hotel is in an outstanding location and has all the vibe of being a resort location. Having the pleasure of staying here albeit only for one night I can not fault anything I have seen here.

  The best hotel in the island.very beautiful, nice sea view and quite.staffs are polit and always smile.spacious room ,large balkony and nice bathroom.
  breakfast is nice ,variety of fresh fruits,and different live cooking station.
  outdoor swimming pool is fantastic.
  If you don't like crowded You should'nt go there in the weekend,because many Chines from surrounding cities come for having rest.in fact you won't see many foreign in the hotel.
  the hotel provide bicycle for free,also free wifi in the room.
  from Gungzuh to the island is about 3h by car.the island is populer for fresh sea food.
  I highly recommend people who look for peace and quiet place to visit the island they won't regret it.(not many night life).ask for sea view.

  Nice sea view and the most beautiful part of the beach on the island. Decent food, only Chinese cuisine recommended though. Nice hot spring and there is even oden in sale at reception. Service is not as well matched up as its facilities though. Long wait at checkin and only one guy serves at lobby bar, took us quite some time to order as it was so busy that the guy had to run around. BTW. we were luck to get free upgrade to superior suite. Very sweet!
