• Great hotel with beautiful views of the lake

  We had a short one night stay at the New Century Grand Hotel in Xuzhou, but wished we had time to stay longer. Located right across the street from the Yunlong Lake (literally, Cloud Dragon Lake), the hotel is a modern, massive edifice with an impressively large lobby. We had a room overlooking the lake, and it was equally impressive, with plenty of room, as well as a spacious bathroom with separate bath and shower. Everything was clean and well kept.
  The only thing that didn't work well was the air conditioning, which we turned up but didn't really help cool down the room.
  Given the yuan's weakness against the dollar right now, a one night stay cost about 540 CNY, which translate to about $85 USD. Can't find this good of a deal for a luxury hotel in the US! A great stay overall, and highly recommended.

  I cannot find anything negative about this hotel. Check in and check out fast and accurate. Friendly staff. Fast and free internet, excellent breakfast,... .
  It is near to the lake and it is nice walking outside at the lake in the evening.
  The price is very reasonable for the quality you get.
  The only "negative" is that there are no restaurants outside the hotel at walking distance;

  This is the best hotel so far that we are staying while we are in China. The hotel is just in the front of the beautiful lake. The room is very large and also with a balcony attach to it. they have everything you need in the room. we love their bathroom. all the basic necessity in the bathroom are available to use. Free WiFi as well and wish that they clean the room a little bit carefully. The best part is their super grand breakfast. you can get almost anything in chinese style breakfast. It is really amazing restaurant in this hotel. When we were there, it was very crowded due to the motorbike shows that middle of the week. i spent the second morning walking around the lake and went passed Xuzhou Performing Concert Hall(Lotus building) and well over to the other side of the lake. It was very pleasant walk and the scenery was great on the other side of the lake. There is a super great garden on the other edge of the lake. very unique and pretty.

  Very clean comfortable large room with balcony, excellent bathroom. Hotel facilities such as pool and gymnasium were very good. Breakfast OK with plenty of reasonable coffee. Beautiful park opposite the hotel with a walk along the lake.

  Stayed at this hotel on the recommendation of Trip Advisor as the No 1 hotel in Xuzhou. My accommodation was excellent and the room clean and comfortable. Free WIFI was a pleasant surprise.
  The buffet breakfast was very disappointing from a 'western perspective' but that was my problem.
  We had dinner on one evening and it was OK but the 'no smoking' in eating and enclosed areas is not a priority so we couldn't wait to get out of there.
  Apparently there are rooms with a view of the lake, but the smog was so bad that we hardly saw it the entire trip.
