A clean basic hotel with a modern feel.
Michael F
Memphis, Tennessee | Sep 2, 2025 | Trip type: Solo travelA clean basic hotel with a modern feel. This is a chain hotel in China and this hotel was clean with a modern feel. It was a good value for the money. This place is a little out of the way to the main tourist attractions. It is around a 20 minute walk to them. The walk was not that bad, and there are tons of buses that go by the hotel. This hotel chain does have another hotel that is much closer to the tourist area if that is what you are looking for. The hotel itself was a really good basic hotel. It had everything you could need. The bottom line is that I would stay here again because it is a good value.

Clean and good breakfast

Jun 27, 2025 | Trip type: CouplesStayed here for a couple of nights. Room we had was quite large and very clean. Plenty of sockets. There was a kettle and tea also. Great breakfast, lots of choice. Try the pork dumplings
Area was good for walking to sights and also for local buses. ATM next to the hotel that works for international cards. Pick up a map from reception and take your room card cover for hotel details in Chinese just in case you get lost. -
Nice but far from main places

San Juan, Puerto Rico | Jun 18, 2025 | Trip type: Solo travelThe hotel was very nice and the room was clean and comfortable but too much smell of cigarete smoke inside the room (as everywhere in China, unfortunately). Has a good price but is more oriented to business, if you are a tourist and want to visit main attractions by yourself, it is a bit far for walking distance, need to take buses. So, think about it, but is easy for the train station to terracota warrios bus and HuaSan Bus.

Clean. Value for money, you need to speak at least basic Mandarin

singapore | Apr 23, 2025 | Trip type: Solo travelThis is a basic, no frills, clean room. You get bedroom slippers, towels in plastic bags, a hot kettle and tea bags. The bonus is the smell of cigarettes. There's no respect for non smoking rules in China hotels. It's like that in Malaysia too.
Electrically, there are a few nice touches. USB wall charger next to bed. Multi plug shapes for international travellers straight in the wall. You can have UK, Australia, Europe plugs here. Frankly most hotels don't even offer this.
Wifi was fine. No safe. I left my laptop at the reception as a card in the room clearly states they will not be responsible for any loss in the room.
There is zero security. Anyone can go up to the rooms. Delivery people are used to delivering food right to the rooms. In fact, I met one. As a solo traveller, I made sure he walked ahead of me and didn't see what room I entered. You know those videos that you see of people/call girls being abused around corridors by pimps who think you're from a rival pimp company? Yeah, it can happen here. Fortunately, I didn't see a lot of pimps not did I receive any advertisements for services. It is a class above that. Possibly two. Just to be clear, it's not dodgy. Fortunately.
If you were to have only a two day visit to Xian, I actually don't recommend this hotel. I would stay in the bell tower area.
While it has good access to public transport, limited time means it is better not to take public transport and have places of interest that are close by, within walking distance. When I say walking distance, 5-10 minutes.
Because of my limited time, I did not discover the 24/7 supermarket, or the dried fruit stalls as described by other people. There is a kind of greasy food court in a building across from the hotel on the LH side corner.
Having said that, it is only 10 minutes walk to the East Gate of the Xian City Wall. I walked from the East Gate to the South Gate. And from the South Gate, I walked to the Bell Tower and from the Bell Tower I walked back to the hotel. It is doable, but be prepared to walk. From the Bell Tower to the hotel is a good 20 minute walk. From South Gate to Bell Tower 15 minutes.
Now you can take the bus to the Bell Tower (611), which is only two stops away. But each bus stop is quite a distance from the other. I would not suggest walking to the Train Station (5, 30, 40) where you can get a bus to the Terracotta museum (306, first bus at 7am, every 15 minutes).
A bus ride to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda (41, 30) is about 15 minutes.
Buses are cheap. 2 yuan max.
The keycard holder has a list of buses that you can take to sights, but it is all in Mandarin. Staff are also more comfortable in Mandarin and in general, I didn't meet any staff who was comfortable in English.
Breakfast option at 40 yuan, but I didn't try it. -
Satisfied overall with this hotel choice

Edmonton, Canada | Sep 28, 2025 | Trip type: FamilyAfter reading the reviews, we booked a couple of nights at this hotel once we arrived in Xi'An by train from Harbin. We arrived about 8:00 PM and the front desk was pretty busy, but the guy working the front desk (new night shift employee) was super friendly and working hard to minimize the wait time for everybody. We never found out his name, but he was awesome. English was not used much there though, but that is where my Chinese wife came in handy. The rooms were priced decent too, so we booked two rooms, one for me and my wife and one for my mother-in-law. The room itself was very basic, but the bed and sheets were super comfortable and the shower was nice and hot and actually enclosed (with a crappy shower curtain) and the shower spray was adjustable to super intense if needed. Wi-Fi was good also. There were lots of food places nearby, including a massive market across the street called Ren Ren Le, which was like a massive multi-floored Wal-Mart and had everything. The food was located on the 3rd floor where we bought fruit, bread, yogurt, beverages, etc. We also liked the location of the hotel because it was only about a 20-25 minute walk to the train station where we took the train to and from Xi'An. The famous Xi'An Wall was close to there also. We found the cab drivers to be very rude in Xi'An since they would not pick you up unless you were planning to go a far distance by cab. The bus was too awkward with all of the luggage we had, so we just walked to the train station which wasn't that bad. I was also very impressed with breakfast at this hotel. We paid $20 RMB per person each morning for the breakfast, but it included western items such as hard boiled eggs, toast, fruit and yogurt. It had a lot of items with their Chinese breakfast that my wife and mother-in-law enjoyed too. Too bad their scrambled eggs had fungus mixed in with it! The hotel staff even stored our luggage for us on the last day while we did some last day exploring before heading to the train station in the evening. They also supplied us with umbrellas since it rained a lot while we were there. Overall we were happy with this hotel stay and would recommend this hotel if you want an affordable clean safe comfortable and convenient place to stay in Xi'An.
