An odd shaped set of reception rooms with access to rooms was via an elevator from ground level to reception then escalator then another elevator.
The Wifi signal was restricted to the lobby area and was glacially slow most of the time.
The hotel appears to cater for tour parties and Chinese social events (we saw three weddings in two days!)
The main restaurant has a fixed price buffet some evenings that includes a bottle of beer. If you want something from the a la carte menu start practising your Mandarin or take a translation App as we were unable to find anyone who could tell us what dishes were in English. Our least enjoyable meal in our three week tour of China.
General notes on Chinese hotels
Chinese make little distinction between the type of food eaten at different meal times. Expect cooked vegetable and meat dishes at breakfast.
Milk is not often available automatically with tea or coffee. You may need to ask; try to make it clear if you want it hot or cold – good luck with that! :-)
Top Tip Wine in China is both expensive and served in very small measures unless you buy a bottle – be warned.

This hotel is located center of the city. I felt that this hotel should be graded more than 3 star. Rooms are good, clean, toilets are also clean, WiFi quality also good. Breakfast also very good. The problem I faced here, my door lock was not working and they said they have some issues with the door lock system. i will recommend this hotel as a good budget hotel.

When told we were to stay in a Days inn I was a little concerned, in the UK it is very basic chain. This was completely different!
The rooms were huge with walk-in closet and sumptuous bathroom. My only gripe was the lack on in-room wi-fi
It's a place to lay your head at night

When we arrived at the hotel, it was very late at night, like 3 am, and when we went into the room it reeked of cigarette smoke. I really didn't know why it would still smell like that even if the person who was in the room before us was smoking as it should have had 12 hours to air out (also, it's supposedly a non-smoking hotel). There was a free breakfast in the mornings which wasn't great but it was free food so I guess I shouldn't complain! It did have reliable wifi though, so that's a definite mark in it's favor. The location is good for walking and sightseeing but overall the hotel was kind meh.

The hotel is more like a budget hotel than 3 star. It is in urgent need of total refurbishment. Almost everything were not working, from power points, hair drier, heating system etc. The heating system was unable to match Xian's cold winter, despite set at maximum temperature. The bathroom was very dirty.
