  This is a beautifully appointed hotel with an amazing view of the sea. The staff have gone out of their way to make the visit a success. There are a variety of restaurants, including several with both Chinese and western menu options. The only hiccup has been the inconsistent wifi, which is unusual for a hotel of this caliber. This has disrupted planned Skype business calls, which has been unfortunate. Oversl, great hotel.

  I guess the sole purpose of this hotel is to serve the conference center next door. It’s convenient if your purpose is only going net door, but there are other hotels to choose at downtown for people interested at Xiamen. My recent four nights’ stay was comfortable enough. Hard to fault the hardware at this hotel. Spacious lobby, bright room with large bathroom and comfy bed. Apparently only top floor rooms have ocean view, my room was facing the theater and a construction side which was a bit sad for staying at a beautiful city like Xiamen. What let this hotel down was the service—everybody was friendly but most of them couldn't understand English and the large amount of conference attendees cleared overwhelmed them. Breakfasts were chaotic, service was slow. Tried to have lunch, dinner and drinks over those days, the service team clearly couldn’t cope with the pressure, we had waiter and waitress came to say no food available anymore after placed order for over 45 minutes. Wireless internet was very stable and unsecure. In short, enjoy if you have to stay at there to visit the conference center, otherwise try some international branded hotels at city center.

  Large hotel great for conferences.
  Our room overlooked the ocean with a boat marina. Stunning view from the 17 th floor.
  The rooms are large with very comfortable super king sized beds.
  Staff all very helpful and extremely polite.
  Concierge went out his way to make sure I had a map and arranged a taxi for me.
  He gave me his card to ring him if I had any problems.
  Surprised how few spoke English however and very hard to find a good coffee.
  Not surprising in the land of tea
  Great variety of food at meals good service in restaurant.
  Xiamen town itself a short taxi ride walked down the pedestrian mall and wondered down the side roads for an authentic view of local Chinese life.
  Felt quite safe walking alone didn't see another westerner.

  It was a very nice surprise and very large and beautiful place with the Gardens and small lake in the middle , Rooms were nice except for the shower, which I have seen in many foreign hotels, it is not enclosed, thereby getting water on the floor ???
  The food was wonderful and you are close to the many parts of the city including walking distance to the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda.
  The name on the front of the hotel is really Qujian Hotel and it is attached to the X'ian International Conference Center.
