Many human error, many staff no English or very poor English, many staff using mobile phone at work so publically. You can see cost cutting everywhere and they don't even clean the trashes inside of outside swimming pool.
However, William from Guest Relation Department is doing superb job. Whatever the assistance you need, please look for him and he is very happy to assist you. His service is surely first class!!
Hotel attempted to have service recovery at the end sending amenities by Director of F&B but they seriously need to train staff and need to reconsider about the cost cutting.
This hotel would be good for Chinese people, but for internationally speaking, totally 4 star level with something like... 3 star quality...
but the room itself is good and view is outstanding. I hope this hotel will be improved in the future as the hard part is good, soft part has problems.

I was here for a conference. not that many people are interested in a perspective from westerners but...Decent property, clean luxury rooms, dated by western standards for a resort hotel. Large resort style facility with many wonderful amenities. Wonderful spa I used for a message with experience attentive staff. Buffet lunch & breakfast had just about every type of food you can imagine very fresh. This is a wonderful clean quiet and friendly town.

The Seaview resort is located right across from the beach on the east side of Xaimen Island. The rooms at this place are very spacious, modern and clean. The bathroom was large and well set out. The resort has many fantastic facilities but none better than the Garden Pool. It is massive. English speaking staff are strategically located throughout the establishment making communication easy. The breakfast is huge and caters for all cultures from all over the world.
I would defiantly look to being staying here again the next time I am in Xaimen.

The Seaview resort is a massive complex with modern rooms and really nice grounds and pools. the rooms are pretty spacious with nice bathrooms and plenty of amenities. All rooms have large shower in addition to a jacuzzi tub.
Food at the resort was OK. Nothing special. Breakfast and lunch have expansive selections of Western and Eastern Cuisine.
This hotel has large convention space which is why our group was there and its nicely appointed.
Its a good hotel if you plan on staying on the property the whole time. Its kind of out of the way from everything else in xiamen, so if you plan on going out and visiting may of the things on the island, it may not be the best option.
Good for relaxing, a bit far from town

The key to this hotel is the guest relations officer (concierge) William. He provides extraordinary service; as with many places in China,English is not easy, but William helps you navigate to good restaurants and the like.
The hotel is good and clean. Try to get a room higher up to get a bit of a breeze. I was on Floor 1 which is ground level and it wasn't conducive to opening windows (main entrance is on 2).
