  My Daughter and I stayed here for 1 night stopover from Kuala Lumpur to Qindao. Previously stayed in Sheraton, and wanted to try this one for a change. We were not
  Disappointed.
  This hotel is Modern setting Modern Rooms. As with many 5* China hotels (in contrary to Europe and USA from same brand), the toilet amenities were wide assorted... (I mean not only the 3 bottles of shampoo, soap and lotion). Beds were Soft and good sleeping quality. TV had several international channels including FILM-channels (like HBO etc).
  The breakfast was excellent assortment from intercontinental, Asian and Japanese.
  The surrounding of the hotel offers good possibility to take a walk along the "river" (believe its no River but man made kanal); there is also nice park to walk around.
  Nothing to complain.

  Overall this hotel could be rated as another good hotel. They've got renovated room in generous size, good bedding, nice bath & toiletries and a beautiful view.
  On another plus point, they breakfast was one of the best with various kind of choices, from local favourites to international dishes. Staff at breakfast also appeared to be more attentive than overall.
  Some minor negative comments could be the pool which actually looks nice but I didn't use it as at that time, there were families with children which I understood it's outside guests (probably hotel's wellness member) but it really made a place like a swimming class of primary school.
  I've also found that many of their staff, especially at front desk tend to not speak english. Apparently if you were there with some other guests who speak Chinese then staff will then not pay attention to what you are asking for. I like the hotel but rather hope this kind of manner could be seriously improved.

  I stayed in local hotel owned by a relative but my kids wanted a better hotel so last minute we booked Kempinski Hotel. Never expected this hotel turn out to be a jewel! such a beautiful hotel and all the staff including the CEO are so friendly and welcoming! CEO actually stand at the front door to welcome guest!!!! My kids enjoyed our stay in Xiamen because of this beautiful and friendly hotel!

  This is a terrific hotel located in a beautiful part of downtown. Top standards in all areas, clean, modern and comfortable. The only disadvantage is the language barrier with some of the staff. Be sure to try the breakfast, it's incredible.

  The stay here was peaceful and quite. I got a great nights sleep, however, I was disappointed that my room smelled of smoke even though it was non-smoking. The service was just ok, nothing exceptional. Many of the employees at the front desk did not speak English so it seemed this hotel is not geared towards westerners like other hotels in Xiamen. There were also a lot of women “workers” (if you know what I mean) wandering around this hotel. It made me totally uncomfortable seeing these business men with them in tow.
  The food was excellent but it will cost you. (about $50USD) for the grand room buffet. The quality of the food was great though. It was very fresh and appetizing. The good thing is this hotel is located very centrally and there are many places to walk to and local places to shop etc.
