  Nice rooms and a very standard stay. In my opinion it lacks the Asian flare of the other good Asian hotel chains. The food is as usual with Sheraton not good, unhealthy, canned, bottled and processed. They seem to have a policy for not serving fresh and healthy options. Sausages, canned sweet juices from a bottle, etc. they could really improve in the options and selections and make a more organic effort.

  I have stayed several time for business trip in this hotel and it is a good hotel.
  Breakfast good, room is nice and big, room service is responsive, restaurant serve good food all day long.
  Gym and pool are also big and nice even if there are a lot of people.
  I recommend this hotel.

  This property never fails to bring a smile to my face; smart smiling always ready to serve hotel staff with good English speaking skills is a boon for the weary traveller. Located quite close to the city center, has modern, very well appointed rooms, with separate Club rooms and Lounge. Great value for money and surrounded by great local eating joints. The quailty and size of the food portions are of international standards with excellent choices for the international business traveller. You will really like this property for its not flamboyant but well balanced service levels.

  I really liked this hotel for its location, extravagant buffet, amazing hospitality and its English speaking staff, believe me its a rare commodity but a must have if you want to survive in this city.

  Sheraton Xiamen Hotel Fujian is in sub tropical, Southern China. Opposite the coastline of Xiamen, facing the sea is Taiwan. It is a four star luxurious hotel situated not far from the airport and to the island of Gulangyu. You can feel the ambiance of comfort and luxury in this hotel that provides many facilities like gym, free internet WiFi and fine dining and a relaxing atmosphere.. Most of the inhabitants of Xiamen speaks Hokkien local dialect. It's the same with Taiwan too although Mandarin is widely spoken. The rooms have nice decor and neatly laid out with desk, telephone and internet connections laid out as if you having an office in your room. The soft music goes well with the surroundings. The room comes with breakfast which have a nice spread and many food and drinks to choose from. They even have ice cream too. Xiamen have tropical fruits too like mangosteen. One of the things I like best is the red cherries which is not only attractive to the eyes but it is succulent, juicy and sweet which I bought at the fruit shop in town. I bought one kilo of cherries and before I could get to my room in the hotel I had finished eating it. In the evening I explore the town by walking as much as I could after dinner.
  Another interesting place to go is the ancient village of "Tulou" which is 4 hours by bus up the mountain on the narrow road, just like climbing the Cameron Highlands by bus. If i am not mistaken it was listed as UNESCO heritage site as the place have round wooden house built without nails and it is still functioning and it lasts till this day with families staying there. It feels like you are stepping back in time with the ancient structures. There are tea plantations there where the villagers sells the tea as a cash crop. Since the tea was cheap, I had the misconception that it must be a poor quality lousy tea, so i bought only one kilo. After I came home and taste it ...it was wonderful, fragrant and having an exquisite taste. I should have bought more if I had known. In Xiamen city, you can also get fried oysters, my favorite, but it does not taste as good as in Penang as it was rather blend, not much spices..Gulangyu island is interesting to visit for its historical sites and you could buy sone cultures pearls there, the cheap ones as souvenir.
