I did not have much expectation as this is not an International hotel, but I have to say my friends and I were impressed with their service. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Although the rooms are a little old and need to be renovated, everything was clean and well managed. I particularly like the fact that they have a small driving range and a mini putting green! There is also a large garden and a very decent swimming pool. This is definitely a hotel to consider when traveling with families and friends for pleasure!

This is a good choice other then some worldwide chain brand hotel. Yes, it is a local operated hotel but up to international standard. No matter of services, faculties, environment and accommodation.
There are few hotel buildings you can choose between grand traditional style, family friendly style and contemporary style of accommodations. With complimentary fruits, bottled waters and flower served nicely. Some of the rooms has balcony facing garden.
Quick overnight stay

I booked through Expedia for a quick overnight on the way to Beijing and the very polite gentleman asked my flight info for the next day. He did this so he could check my flight to see if it was delayed and also book a shuttle for me for the morning. What a relief because it can be challenging getting around China and knowing which terminal you need.
I was surprised at the size of the room, very spacious and clean. The bathroom had a separate shower and large tub with marble finishes. The room had a visiting area and a desk for work. All in all very nice.
I ordered room service at 11pm and it was there fairly quickly, a clubhouse sandwich and fries. Pretty good actually ! The breakfast was pretty decent as well with lots of fruit, yogurt, meat and waffle selections. While I was finishing breakfast the bellman came to tell me the shuttle was waiting. I got to the airport in perfect time to catch my flight.
I will try to stay here again next spring !!

This hotel is a giant complex and it consists of 4-5 hotel blocks and each with different standard. So you won't be able to know how yours is base on a general review.
I am staying at the xinyue building which is the better hotel block. The rooms are nicely decorated, well lit and clean. Bed is comfy water is hot. International standard. There's smoking smell though, guess people just can't stop smoking.
Breakfast wise... They tried. Lots of varieties. But I decide to stay with the eggs... Maybe the fruits with skin on... And maybe the toasts. Can't get good coffee so far in China hotels.

A well established formerly government hotel
Extensive landscaped gardens and numerous hotel units rather than one giant building. We used upgraded facilities , extremely large bedrooms and bathrooms
Beds were very firm but comfortable。
Service was extremely good with frequent shuttles allowing quick movement between buildings .
Breakfasts were great
Buffet is somewhat expensive but if you arrive early it can be good value
The hotel is well located on Xiamen island only 15 minutes from airport
We have fee shuttle to a from airport
It's 45 minutes from the bullet train station
