Nice room, beautiful decorations

Not very far from Zhongshann Road, where there are street markets. Definitely worth walking and sightseeing.
Also, you can have morning jogging just across the road opposite the hotel, with Gulungyu Island's view. Reasonable price too.
Excellent Stay in Beautiful Xiamen

Went to Xiamen recently to visit some relatives and spent Christmas day at this beautiful hotel. The suite was amazing and luxurious with a grounded bathtub big enough for two and projector tv screen above the bed.
The buffet at the restaurant was also incredible, if you're going to stay there I recommend you try it. Great view of the Gulang Island and the Chinese Navy base.
Also a good thing for you westerners out there, no tipping, and free mini bar (at least for our room). It is relatively cheap for such a nice hotel and has a very classy purple retro decor.
I would definitely stay here again.

Very ice hotel. Rooms are nice size and well laid out. Beds were very soft and the bathroom was beautiful. My room was on the 17th floor and had an amazing view of the beach.my room did not have an iron or ironing board. After the long flight to get here I needed to remove some wrinkles. Unfortunately the front desk was not able to help.
Good stay but little accident!

I stayed in Tegoo with my husband and two other family members from 14th to 20th Oct 2014. As expected, the room are clean and tidy. I stayed in the no window room however it does not disappoint me. Although the room is window window but they are decorated with nice wall papers and my room is an aquarium design with fishes in an ocean. The hotel is near to shopping area which was around 10 mins walk. As told that is 5 mins walk to the Jetty to Gulangyu, however, we realized that it was quite far if we walked there. Therefore, we took taxi over. The staff are all friendly and helpful. As I booked the room without breakfast. However, I decided to try out the breakfast the 2nd day. But I postponed it again and again but the reception stuff served us with great patience. The lobby is in a very nice ambience and once we enter the hotel we feel so relaxed.
One little accident happen which I am so shocked. As my brother in law are having his shower, when tuning on the flush for rinsing his hair. Extremely hot water pours down, ended up yelling and got minor redness on his scalp. We called up the reception to make a complaint. They explained that under servicing at the moment. I replied that if this is happening they should shut off the water and inform the customers on this. How could this be happening. Luckily, my brother in law is ok afterwards but left us in trauma. This is the little accident that might keep us to stay in Tegoo Hotel again.

Great location.......... walkable distance from the sea front, where you can see the Piano island and such other tourism spots. The famous pedestrian street is nearby. I give full marks for the location, so good for relaxing. There are good restaurants both top end and regular ones including a nice bread shop nearby.
The beds, linen, toiletries are all good. They helped me with an electric adapter for my laptop and the service/house keeping very satisfying.
The WiFi is good. The Manager was very helpful and provided English newspaper for me.
This would be my hotel in my trip also.
