  The hotel is very nice and modern, and fit right in the new business district of this quiet city. I have been staying at this hotel a few times during work visits to Yixing and I find service get better and better. The staff is getting more proactive and the English knowledge is also improving compared to my first visit last year, still not comparable to Shanghai. Most striking is that it looks like some of the staff are enjoying the work they do and are keen on making customers feel special, especially the restaurant staff. Location is not ideal if you want to taste local food outside of the hotel and you must take taxi if you want to do that. Club lounge on 59 level is excellent and is not crowded as in many other business hotels. Highly recommendable Kempinski.

• Very nice hotel with great lake views

  We did not expect such a grand hotel in this location but we were nicely surprised. The lobby is grand with high ceilings. Our room was well equiped (electronic curtains, automatic toilet, pretty fast internet, window that can be opened for fresh air) and has great lake-views. Staff was very friendly but limited English, room attendant was particularly forthcoming. Nice bar on the third floor with outdoor terrace. Breakfast on 60th floor offers amazing city views and the best coffee we had during this China trip.

  The hotel offers amazing views, stunning rooms featured lasted technologies, excellent service.
  One of the best and also my favourite hotel in Yi Xing.
  The Le Meridien may offer a convenience location compare to Kempinski. But Kempinski has a better views and peaceful surroundings.
  The taxies are pretty convenient in China. So, I wouldn't worry too much about the difference in convenience of its location.

• Outstanding property in the middle of nowhere

  Work called me to Yixing and client recommended Kempinski. Actually there are very few choices in Yixing so the Kempinski it was. The building is 60 floors high with the hotel taking up the higher floors.
  In short the Kempinski Yixing is everything you would expect from a Kempinski anywhere with the exception of guests. Yixing is not yet a hub of activity.
  The rooms were luxurious. The reception area is magnificent. The lobby bar and coffee shop is very comfortable. The 60th floor dining area is lovely, shame the pollution is so bad that all you see from the window is a white mist like a bed sheet has been hung on the windows.
  Note that the breakfast does not really cater much for Western tastes, but given that in my few days there I was the only westerner there it is understandable.
  No complaints, great service, lovely property.

  First I'd like to say I have never lived brand of Kempinski elsewhere, so this is the first time I have a stay here, and it left a FANTASTIC impression to me.
  Check in okay, our room located on 47 floor, the room is modern and clean and cut-of-edge, all automatic, automatic glass door in the bathroom, automatic toilet, automatic curtain. Everything looks brand new and well maintained. Television is equipped with bracket and that move freely with a wide range of angle, awesome, right?
  Back to the bed, a little bit small, but clean and comfortable.
  View from the room is just Taihu Lake, and what a beautiful view from room to overlook the Taihu Lake
  Breakfast would be also quite satisfactory. There are a lot of varieties of foods, drinks, western and chinese cuisine, fruits. The buffet is set on the top floor of the hotel, which gives wide and beautiful view, how it could be!!!
  And thanks to the hotel for offering customer such a great staycation!!
