  Stayed four nights on business.
  The good
  The hotel is located next to some eateries so you will never get hungry, not that you really need to eat out. The breakfast spread is really good and the breakfast staff were efficient and also friendly - that was my first delight. The room is big and spacious while the bathroom came with a shower. The room was clean with ample space on the work desk. Internet connection was good enough even to place a VOIP call - my second delight. It was also easy to get taxis even in the morning rush-hour.
  The bad
  During check-in, even with Gold Hhonors, you get an upgrade to the next level only, not direct executive room privilege, so I got an upgrade from superior to deluxe. On the evening I checked in and while I was in the shower, there was a persistent bell-ringing. I rushed out to open the door and a lady just shoved a plate of fruits at me, saying 'fruits' or something in mandarin. I suppose the fruit platter could have been placed in the room earlier? What was supposed to be a delighter in concept turned bad with poor execution. The hotel is located near the industrial area so you would need a taxi to go downtown. The moon-cakes that I got from the hotel came in a nice packaging but the contents were barely edible (too dry).
  The conclusion
  As a business hotel, this is definitely the 'it' hotel and I would definitely come back. I would give the moon-cake a miss though.

  The overall appearance and value at Wuxi double-tree hotel was great. The staff were nice, friendly and helpful. I will use this hotel anytime I go to Wuxi again. Food at dinner was great, rooms very clean.

  Internet is horrible even after they upgrade the bandwidth for you. Makes it hard to check in on work, most of the time it's do bad I'll go to the office on weekends just make sure I'm up to date. Rooms are nice and all, not much to do around the hotel either. Good enough but the lack of Internet makes me think second about staying there until it is fixed by management

• As good as you would always expect from doubletree

  Glad to be back ina doubletree again. The welcome cookie brought back good memories in doubletree usa. But the cookies in wuxi is a little harder, probably difference in preparation material. It would have been nice if they always welcome guests back in the evening with the cookie.
  The service at the front desk is stillas professional and efficient as it has always been. Gym has a workout room, which is great. The only bummer was that the stuff dimmed the lights all of a sudden at 11, when we were still using the facilities. He said, to dim it since its late. Err. Guess this is more applicable in pubs.
  Comfort level of room, food at breakfast and restaurant was good. Great for business travellers, where you can expect high comfort level everytime you are back from a long day.

  I stayed in this hotel in May 15 ..The place is very good , reasonably priced such that it can suit pocket for even tourists (specially from India).Very well maintained , great rooms ,nice interior , very hospitable staff .overall ,a pleasure to stay .The ambiance is also peaceful and great !!! In case you don't want to eat Chinese food , there are many good restaurants e.g.KFC , Papa Jones , McDonalds etc near by.
