Absolutely Perfect

Lancaster, Pennsylvania | Mar 29, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessI can't imagine a more comfortable place to stay. The apartment was so luxurious that I could live there (and many expats apparently do). The kitchen and seating area are comfortable and functional, and the bedroom is large with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom is fabulous. There's also a small washing machine and dryer if you're going to be there a week or more. The only additional advice is to NOT purchase the optional breakfast. If you want Chinese food for breakfast, you're better off going to one of the ubiquitous and delicious noodle places in the area, and if you want western-style breakfast, you can pick up milk, cereal, fruit, eggs, etc. at the supermarket only half a block away. I would definitely stay at the Somerset again if I return to Wuhan.

Great modern and comfortable rooms...

Singapore, Singapore | Jan 9, 2026 | Trip type: Friends getawayI booked this hotel for my 1st visit to Wuhan after a recommendation from a friend.
Rooms and layouts are just like in the pictures on their website, quite accurate.
I booked the cheapest room (studio) and got upgraded to a 1-bedroom room, which was really big. Rooms are very comfortable and well appointed, bed is comfortable as well.
There is a great gym and spa area within the hotel.
Service was ok and internet was a bit of hit or miss, but it is China, so it is expected.
I had breakfast included in the price and I must say it was truly disappointing... better skip it and go and try the local street food...
I would consider it value for money taking into account the great rooms and the price... -
Great central location in Wuhan

Littleton, Colorado | Jan 7, 2026 | Trip type: FamilyWe stayed at the Somerset Wusheng Wuhan apartment hotel while in Wuhan visiting our daughter. We chose the location specifically because it was located in the shopping mall where she was working. The apartment styling suited us well for our stay. The kitchenette was perfect for our simple home-cooked meals, and the small dining table was just large enough for us to share. The living room was spacious, with a great view of the city, comfortable furniture, and a large-screen TV. The separate bedroom suite was very well appointed, with another large-screen TV, though storage space was a bit limited. The bed was very comfortable, and room temperature was no problem-the AC worked well, when needed. The bathrooms, as noted by other travelers, are luxurious. Ours had a separate tub and walk-in shower, lovely stone tiled vanity, and western-style toilet. A washer/dryer combo machine was housed in a closet by the kitchenette, and came in handy to do our laundry about halfway through our trip, and again before we left. The front desk staff were more than competent. Although not all of them spoke English well, they were able to find someone to answer even our most complicated questions. They helped us navigate the city bus system so that we always arrived back at our hotel safely. I encourage other travelers to go into the multitude of nearby local markets for fresh produce, eggs, meat, and fish, and to try their hand at cooking the local delicacies themselves! If we visit Wuhan again, we will definitely stay here.
