Outstanding Service
Hillview_205
Cincinnati, Ohio | Aug 21, 2025 | Trip type: FamilyI stayed at the hotel for 4 days about a month ago, and this was my third stay there in the last 4 years. Every time I went to Wuhan, I stayed there. What brought me back again and again is its service.
Front desk has been always the best. They are always nice, considerate, and ready to help. This time, it was Alice who checked in us. She was nice, professional and very helpful to accommodate our request. Concierge was also very helpful to buy railway tickets for us. Executive lounge associate were also nice, and offer foods order when we got in.
Another above and beyond service was the surprise birthday cake we received. We even forgot the birthday for one of us. We were really moved. Thank you.
The hotel's location is excellent. It took us only about 10 minutes to the Wuhan railway station, where we took the high speed train. Th hotel is also about 30 minutes to the airport, and no traffic signal between the hotel and the airport. It was about 10 minutes to Han street, where we went to see a great show. The hotel is also 5 minutes walk to a restaurant street, and 15 minutes walk to shopping center and movie theater.
The hotel itself is clean and well maintained. I highly recommend the hotel to anyone who is going to stay in Wuhan.
By the way, I have not received a survey link from the hotel. I wish I can take the survey so I can thank those who had help us. -

Wonderful service makes a wonderful stay

Shanghai Region, China | Aug 9, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessMy experience at the Renaissance Wuhan was unexpectedly wonderful. I say that because I was told it was an "old" hotel, but I found the room and facilities modern and well-kept. But more importantly, the service delivered by the entire team was top-notch and impeccable. Everyone from the front desk staff, to the cafe wait team, to the banquet team helping at our seminar and dinner, was prompt, professional, able to anticipate our needs in advance and willing to go the extra mile.
A few examples:
1) I enquired about the timing of breakfast every morning, and asked if I could pack some to go instead of dining in. I had a 7.20am train to catch and wasn't sure I could spare the time to sit down for a leisurely breakfast. The waitress I asked wasn't sure and said she would check. In 2min, the supervisor came over, and suggested that they pack the breakfast for me in advance, so that I can pick it up at the front desk when I checked-out. She also quickly took down my breakfast preferences, and came back to let me know she had already informed tomorrow's staff at the cafe, plus made a note at the front-desk.
2) As my seminar ended earlier than anticipated, I decided to check out that afternoon and try to make the afternoon train (I missed that train but that's entirely my own doing). I approached the front desk at about 4pm, expecting them to charge me for the extra night or at least charge me for an additional half-day. The lady was very kind and offered to waive any additional charges. Granted it was low season and the hotel wasn't full, but I know of many hotels who wouldn't do that. After I missed the train and came back to the hotel to re-check in, I contacted the event manager in charge of our group, who promptly made sure I was able to get the night's stay at the same group rate - in 10 seconds!
3) Numerous other small details. Cafe staff who cleared the table then saw one of us come back with a plate of fruits, and promptly when to get us all new sets of cutlery without being asked. Banquet staff who stayed through the entire set-up till midnight, eager to help us with anything that we asked for promptly and willingly, undeterred by the late hours. Banquet staff who replenished our drinks attentively, serving up beer (we were on an unlimited package so serving more doesn't mean the hotel earns any more) the moment he saw us opening up the last can. He even knows the table dynamics, keeping note of who's drinking with whom so he replenishes those at the same time!
If I had to pick one thing that wasn't quite up to scratch, I would have to say the food at the all-day dining cafe wasn't the best. Menu could do with a few more choices especially with local options, and quality of food can be improved.
