  Stayed only one night with family. As an IHG member, I did receive the room upgrade and a free breakfast. While the reception lady mentioning that hope I could rate/common better while I receive the survey email. With just one night stay in this property, I strongly believe the hotel management should take proper actions on the following items to make the hotel fits the holiday inn brand. 1. Cleanliness, it is the essential for any hotel, the carpet in the room and public areas needs a major "refreshment clean" or complete replacement. Also, there is a small child play area in the breakfast restaurant, I hope the management realizes the hygiene is even more important to the kids. 2. Smoking policy, I understand there are some smoking rooms or floors at the hotel, but it is still my first time smells cigarette smoke in the public place inside a decent hotel. 3rd floor(meeting venues) and the elevator waiting area in the guest room floor. 3. Room service, TAT is too slow, maybe it is due to the occupying rate is too high but wait for the 30min+ time for a tooth kit is not supposedly happening. 4. WiFi, though the speed is ok, the concern I have is the security. It is completely an open network, no authorization or identification needed at all. 5. Conceriage, not that much attending to the guest.
  The hotel is just adjacent to a big shopping mall--Aqua city, and it is located on top of the XIBEIJIAO station of Subway line 1. Location is perfect and near the train station. With 5-6 years history, I hope the hotel can provide a standard HI level service.

  The Hotel is 3/4 Star not 5 , limited choise of food like in most these type of hotels .
  
  Hotel Connects to a Shopping Mall and that is great , good choice of food and shopping and very good for kids if you have lots of money to spend .
  
  Rooms are great / clean / and staff too .

  Stayed 3 nights here, it's just right upon the metro station of Xibeijiao, one stop away from Tianjin West Railway station, 2 shopping malls close to it, most of the tourist attractions are within a distance of 8km. The room is big, the bed is comfortable, it's a nice stay here.

  Located at a convenient location atop of a large shopping center and have direct access to the mall on the 3/F; and the hotel is also 5 mins driving distance to the Tianjin West Train Station. The room is spacious, a bit larger than a regular 4-star hotel; and the breakfast is above average, lots of variety with both chinese and western options.

• Good Business Hotel in the West of Tianjin

  I have chosen this hotel mainly because I planned to be two days on business in the West of Tianjin, it is 1.3 km south of the Tianjin West station.
  
  Check-in was friendly and fast, and I had a nice room, with a separate sitting group near the entrance, the bed and working desk essentially in a second section of the room. Altogether there were three large windows, so it was an agreeable environment, also for getting some work done. There is only one important negative point: the sound-proofing is less than perfect. On my desk I found a welcoming letter, telling of a nearby building site and the associated noise, for which they supplied earplugs. During my stay in Tianjin I didn’t hear the construction noise at any time, but the traffic on the street below could be heard. Especially the sound of cars sounding their horn could be heard very clearly. This didn’t disturb me too much, because I got up at six for an early swim, but it might be different if you plan to sleep somewhat longer.
  
  The breakfast has all the essentials for a Western guest, they prepare fried eggs, there are cereals, bread, salad and fruit. You won’t experience great luxury, but you will get a good start for a working day.
  
  The fitness room is large, there is also a large, albeit irregularly shaped, swimming pool. The pool is 25 meters long at the straight edge, so you can swim laps if there are not too many other guests who also want to swim laps at the same time.
  
  All in all I found the hotel to be a good value for money, I wouldn’t travel 60 kilometers to avoid the problems which I described. So I will certainly come again. Finally it might be mentioned that tax laws have recently changed regarding the application of value added tax to hotel bills. The consequence is that there is now an increased difference between the price you see listed when you choose a hotel and the price which you actually pay.
