  I stayed in this hotel for a week in May, mainly for business. The Sheraton is one of the older hotels in Tianjin, it is situated in a nice area, with a little park behind the hotel and in walking distance to the TV tower, a nice park and other restaurants. The lobby and restaurant area looks all very nice and has a wide open design. The check-in was not so good. I arrived with 3 other co-workers and we all have had a very long trip, an overnight economy flight. Therefore we were all tired and just wanted a rest and a shower. However, the check-in staff asked everyone a thousand questions and tried to convince us to join the Sheraton member club. I was the last in row and nearly fell asleep while standing and waiting.
  Rooms were good, quiet (park view) and very big and comfy bed, which is definitely the most important thing on a business trip, however, I found the bathroom a bit to old and small, with a very low ceiling, so that I (1.7 m tall) nearly hit it with my head when having a shower in the bathtube. The bathroom could have also been cleaned better.
  Breakfast was very good. The breakfast room is very nice and wide open design with views to the garden. Food varity is wide and, staff was very helpful, coffee selection was great and good quality.
  What we all liked was the hotel bar, which was actually like a pub, with free pool billiard and table football and there was a band playing most evenings with two really talented singers. We got in there every evening.
  I had to check out one evening earlier and I was late, so I thought there might be a charge coming up but it was no issue at all. Staff handled that in a very professional way.

  On a cycling trip through china we stayed in the Sheraton in Tianjin. This was the second time I have visited this hotel. I decided to come here again because I had such a nice stay before. The staff are very friendly and speak a good level of English, the rooms are very nice and the swimming pool and spa are a nice place to relax after a long trip.if you are staying in Tianjin I would definitely recommend this hotel.

  Location was Exellent for getting around City Food and staff were just great I can Recommend the Italian restaurant Pizza and Cannelloni were fantastic as were the choices of Wine this is quite a new Hotel in Tianjin and gets Packed out on Sundays Buffet Brunches its reputation soon excelled by word of mouth the Limousine service to Airport Highly recommend Comfort and ease with good Knowledge of English! just up the street there's 9 hole Golf Course

  The hotel is very dated compared to a large number of other chain hotels you may stay in, not impressive inside or outside. However that said it was very clean and comfortable. The rooms are comfortable, well equipped and I was particularly impressed with the free bottles of water. The staff were very attentive and polite.
  Breakfast offers a few choices for western tastes, but most of the choices are "Korea style", many kinds of kimchis, and Korean noodles... "Tianjin Pancake" is highly recommended.
  Overall it was a good stay and once you get over the look of the property it is very good so I do recommend it, just low your expectation as its dated

  Unfortunately I have v ever had a situation with any SPG hotel like I had with the room in the 12th floor on this trip, and hardly got any sleep as I was constantly being woken by the deafening noise which I think must have been a problem with an internal water pipe which was clanging so loud I'm surprised that the entire building didn't hear it. In any case each time it awake me the noise lasted each time about 5 minutes and then every 15 minutes would repeat. I was so tired and thought it would go away that I just didn't have the drive to call the front desk to complain until I checked out. They were very sympathetic and was guaranteed that it won't happen again. I just wonder why the maintenance team was not aware since the banging was so loud. Other than that the room was fine and so was the breakfast.
