• Very good stay for a conference visit

  I had the opportunity to travel to Tianjin for the first time and stayed at this hotel because of a conference I was attending.
  This a large property. It's HUGE. As you walk into the hotel the lobby has an open floor plan creating a nice sense of space. The rooms are comfortable. And if you are someone that doesn't like the cold you should make sure that you can have heat in the room as this may not be available as we found out.
  I only tried the western restaurant and I thought the prices were a very expensive. With that said the wait staff were really warm and attentive. The food was quite nice.
  I ordered room service and it was nice to see some local dishes. Be careful when ordering the steamed pork buns. I should have asked how many did it serve because I got enough buns to feed my family.
  I'm not sure if it's the culture in the city, but smoking was quite prevalent in the lobby. So just something to note if you are sensitive.
  Overall it was a very nice hotel.

  Stayed at the Renaissance Tianjin Lakeview Hotel for 6 nights with my 80-year old mom. Prior to checkin, I emailed the hotel asking for a suite upgrade (I'm Marriott Gold elite) and I was glad to know I got the update upon checkin. Checkin was fast and smooth.
  The room is spacious and clean. Bed/pillows are very comfortable.
  Breakfast buffet is one of the best I've ever had: lots of choices (both chinese and western) and delicious. We loved the fresh-made juice and wanton soup.
  Lounge also exceeded my expectation: nice decoration, clean and comfortable. Plenty of food & beverage choices.
  All hotel staff are super friendly, always greet us with smile.
  Bellboys(especially Jason) are always there to help with taxi and directions.
  When checkout, I found a billing error and Betty corrected it in no time.

  This is my second time at this hotel and now I know why I love this hotel. The staff are very helpful and go out of their way to make sure your happy. The breakfast is one of the best in China I have had. The dishes are so vast from local to traditional and of course western which is amazing. This hotel welcomes first time and return guests as the same

  Spent two nights on business early this year. The hotel is bit far from the city center so the restaurant and entertainment choices are limited. The hotel itself is of good standard even though the outside looked a bit dull.

  We took a train from Beijing to Tianjin, a 30 minutes ride. Upon arrival, there are many taxis at the railway station which we took to go to our hotel Renaissance Tianjin Lake View Hotel. Taxi driver was very courteous and chatty which is quite a rare find in PRC. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were greeted by staff who are very well trained in the fine art of hospitality and check in was a breeze. The room facing the lake was very clean, large and everything seems in place.
  Breakfast is one of our most important meal of the day and like all hotel in the Marriott chain, it is always on top.
  Another great service is from the Navigator with whom we request for a 4 hour tour of the city. The arrangement is made quickly and at a good price which we thoroughly enjoyed.
