  Very elegant and spacious hotel with very friendly service. Stylish small villa like buildings set around courtyard. Rooms with specific decoration and rather grand lay-out. Breakfast is just a treat with balance beween Orient & Western style.
  Nice terras overlooking the court and comfy (business) corners make u feel at home...

  My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel Indigo last week and had the Cinema Style room at William Street no 8. We really like the architecture and the style of the hotel, very chic and modern. Our room was much larger than we expected and it was beautifully decorated. Bathroom is large and spacious.
  Everyday there are gardeners watering the grass fields and the area is clean. The pool is nicely designed but the jacuzzi was not working when we went in. The engineering came to fix it at once and we could still enjoy the jacuzzi. Really love the beds along the pool. Although it is an indoor pool but the glass ceiling makes you feel like you are outdoor.
  Only downside is that the hotel does not have a restaurant which provides a decent dinner. Even around the area we could not enjoy any French or Western restaurant.
  We had breakfast in the hotel the next morning. The staff were very helpful and kept coming to our table to check if they could do anything. The breakfast spread was disappointing for a boutique hotel like this. But we enjoyed the table on the terrace for breakfast.

  Very good service, fantastic room with big and comfortable beds and excellent breakfast. Cosy underground swimming pool. Good wifi connections. Close to the river. Quiet place. Some difficulty for car parking.

• Warm, friendly and trendy hotel

  This hotel has nice, trendy and warm decor. My room (in complex no. 5) was spacious, cosy and clean with views over a back street. The room was a bit of a hike deep into the property but that was OK for me and there is an underground section that saved you from having to walk outside in the cold. One slight downer was the temperature in the room was a little higher than I would have chosen and I couldn't work out how to switch off the heater - I knew I could have asked the front desk but it didn't really disturb me. I also wished that there was stronger lighting in the room, especially in the bathroom for me to more easily prep my face in the morning. The king bed and pillows were very comfortable and I didn't hear any noise, so I slept like a baby every night of my stay. My favourite thing at this hotel is the range of food at breakfast, a good mix of traditional Chinese and Western. Unfortunately the lunch there was not as tasty as breakfast but there are a few good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, although they are only open during meal times. Service in the hotel is impeccable and the manager, Eric, took time to speak to us.

  Because we booked this hotel based on Tripadvisor reviews, we expected it to be good, but it was so thoroughly charming and we were so over-the-top pleased that we wanted to add our review. Our room was spacious and large and with a window overlooking a back street, perfect in every way (aside from the dim lighting…which others have mentioned, too). Breakfast was wonderful--a fusion of Chinese and Western with a large variety of dishes and the small German bar that is part of the hotel (but with an entrance on the street for the public) offering a small but very tasty variety of dishes. We arrived late (10 pm) and had a light dinner there our first evening. The staff also went out of its way to be helpful as we had somewhat tricky transport issues (we needed to board a cruise ship) and arranged a special car for us for perfect door-to-ship transport. We were there during a major Beijing conference so the hotel was full (the bullet train offers a 35-minute commute to Beijing); we counted ourselves so lucky to be amongst its guests. Will definitely return to the Indigo (a transliteration from Chinese of Yin-De-Guo, which is literally 'England-Germany') Hotel. Although we were a couple, we noted it's perfect for families with small children with its large enclosed central lawn area and indoor pool; there were many such families staying there while we were there.
