Copenhagen, Denmark | Nov 15, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessShowing it's age, wifi connection poor to nothing, very expensive food and drinks. Some mould visible in the shower, room smelled as if it is sometimes used as a smoking room.
Price ok, but generally speaking there are other options. -
Just an Average Hotel
BlanquitaLiu
Taipei, Taiwan | Aug 31, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessI had stayed here for two nights for my business trip.
The first impression was that the hotel staffs are not so enthusiastic and the hotel is kind of old.
The room looks dark even I turned on all the lights, the desk is small and the internet works almost poor. There's no wifi in the room as i remember. Personally I think this is not a good hotel for business travelers.
The shower nozzle is fixed in a very high position which is really difficult for me to have a relaxing shower.
The worst part is that the housekeeping throw away my own shampoo...
Breakfast is good, this is the only thing I would admire for this hotel. -
Perfectly ok for the price, but don't expect international standards

Beijing | Jul 31, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessAs the title says… its ok for the price (378 RMB with breakfast/internet booked online). THis is for the Deluxe Junior Suite, which has a separate door to the bedroom, separating it from the living area - that also has a sink, hot plate and space for cooking, but no plate, cutlery, pots or utensils. However, could make for a decent place, if staying long term in Kunshan. The Suite is pretty dark, as it was on the NOrth side, and only has one floor to ceiling window, thats in the bedroom. the layout however means that you will not have any neighbour immediately on the other side of any of the four walls of your bedroom. So ideal for peace and quiet. Unfortunately the South side of the hotel, has the main road (not sure how noisy) and the North side a construction site. East side also has construction of a new highway, but no rooms face east.
The room was clean, but not perfect clean. However, bathroom, and bedroom were fine and only living space could have done with some more detailed cleaning. Internet is by cable only, meaning you are bound to the (small) desk by the wall on the corridor side of the room. If you want to work on the open balcony of the bedroom, you have to do without internet, as no wifi.
The balcony also has the air conditioner unit, which whilst not noisy, was obviously pumping out a lot of hot air, that made visits to the balcony a sauna like experience.
Breakfast buffet was Chinese with a few Western things thrown in for good measure (mediocre salad bar, yoghurts/cereal, sponge toast). Coffee was only black from the buffet, and lousy.
Swimming pool was closed for change of water when arrived, but was open the next day, and refreshingly cold (about 24C). Although the pool area was also used for kids entertainment park by the look of it. Pool is good however and clean (25m length, 4 lanes). Changing rooms are in dire need of a make over.
The staff here try hard, but its obvious that this is a 'Local' Ramada and could best be described as 3.5 Star by international standards. At 290-400RMB its not too bad a choice however. Its about 10min taxi from the centre and from the South Train station.

My new Kunshan home - better than my previous apartment
Grant713
Linwood, Michigan | Aug 28, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessI've been regularly traveling to Kunshan for about 8 years now - most of the time staying in a company apartment nearby. Remodeling of the apartment has moved me into the Ramada this trip. The room is comfortable - bed is softer than the normal Chinese hotel which is good. There have been a few small problems but the staff here is very quick to help overcome them. The English level is not great - but mostly workable - and my limited Chinese helps get past most of the problems.
The location is somewhat remote from the downtown area and the normal convenience stores - the China versions of a 7-11 store.
Breakfast buffet - while heavily slanted to Chinese tastes - is big, fresh, and hot - with enough choices for even picky eaters.
I'll look forward to coming back here on my next trip.
