Exceeded all expectations!
ybouc
Montreal, Canada | Jun 28, 2025 | Trip type: Solo travelEnded up here as a "retreat" to get some work done over a long weekend. Was instantly impressed with the lobby and the very large and well-designed lobby bar (not to mention the pool table!)
At check-in, I was upgraded to an Executive Junior Suite, despite not having a particularly high Marriott status. Another pleasant surprise!
Then I got to the suite itself. Fantastically and tastefully designed, pristine, and incredibly functional; everything was in its place. 3 independent climate controls, a large tub, a cozy couch, and of course, such a comfortable bed.
I tried to find little things to nitpick about: a dent here, a crack there... there were none. This is truly a well-maintained establishment.
I ordered room service twice, and both times service was good, and the food was quite decent for a "night menu".
I also took advantage of the really pleasant and generous Executive Lounge, which is conveniently open until midnight. Again, very comfy couches, dining tables, a decent selection of finger foods off-peak, and proper meals for breakfast and dinner, along with all-day / all-night free-flow of soft drinks and cocktails. Really took to the place, especially as we could quietly watch the FIFA World Cup! The lounge's staff was really nice, always smiling, and definitely remembered you.
This is one thing I noticed about this hotel: from the front desk, to the lounge attendants, to the cleaning staff; a lot of smiles! Way more than I see on average!
Breakfast was good, although I generally ate it at the lounge (smaller selection) because the hotel was so packed, the main restaurant downstairs was full! I could never have told there were that many registered guests; all the common areas were generally just the right amount of quiet.
While I did not use the gym or the pool, I did enjoy the sauna and steam rooms! Very clean, quiet, relaxing.
Location-wise, this wasn't my top priority this time, and although most places can be easily reached by taxi, the hotel itself isn't particularly central (to either the industrial park area, or the old town area). As a downside, the rooms are on very high floors, but the view was mainly of identical residences. Still, a very minor point compared to all the positives!
Will definitely consider staying here again on my next time in Suzhou, and it has definitely raised my view of what a Marriott should be, especially in China. Keep it up! -
Great people and rooms are nice

Camas, Washington | Jun 13, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessI've not tried the pools yet - maybe on another visit.
I really love the people there. I come here for business and everyone makes sure that I get my taxi that I have a ride back. It makes you feel secure and cared for.
The rooms are well kept! Every time I come here everyone has been nice and the rooms have always been clean.

Beijing, China | Jun 11, 2025 | Trip type: Friends getawayVery convenient location.
Booked two rooms for my mum and her friends. I was concerned about their travel experience as they are not familiar with new technologies. Thanks very much for Dona from Front Office for the assistant in settle down the documents as many as possible with me before guests' arrival to ensure the smooth check-in experience for them. The boy who assist their check-in was supper sweet and very considerate.
Highly recommended. -

May 5, 2025 | Trip type: FamilyVery good service. Convenient location to a few sightseeing spots. Got room upgrade as I am a Marriott gold member. Used executive lounge and received warm greetings every single time. Food in executive lounge can be a little more delicate. Overall, it is a great stay.

Arizona | May 1, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessI always stay at this hotel in Suzhou. It is super clean, well run and they have a terrific breakfast buffet (too many choices!) The standout for sure, is their staff. As before, we met another young manager, named BRUCE in the breakfast restaurant. This guy, you'll see him, impeccably dressed with a constant smile, always ready to get anything you need and he sensed that too, and brings it.
I am a internationally well traveled businessman and can stay anywhere i choose. IT is these kinds of people, well trained, courteous and just so eager to be totally professional. THIS is why I return to this hotel!!! Thanks for having people like Bruce in your staff!
