  Ideal stopover before an early flight from Shenzhen airport. The hotel is very close to the old airport but it's only a short 10 minute drive at the most to the new airport. There aren't taxis around here so you'll need to catch the free shuttle bus the hotel provides. The staff are excellent here. I checked into a room which was next door to a couple with a screaming baby. They let me change rooms without hassle. They were diligent about giving me a wake up call at 5 am. The shuttle bus to the airport was full so the hotel staff arranged for a private driver to take me without cost. There were a few private drivers hanging outside waiting for a few jobs it seemed. There wasn't breakfast when I woke up but there's a vending machine in the lobby and the reception sells minimal snacks. The room was very clean and perfect for a short stay overnight. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay again if I need to fly from Shenzhen airport early in the morning. My taxi driver had difficulty finding this hotel at first and the phone number on trip advisor wasn't correct which I had recorded. Eventually we found it though and the current phone number apparently is 0755-2730-1899, though you should check this before you travel just in case. Did I mention how cheap and affordable this hotel is? Unbelievable value for money.

• Not at the new airport, opposite old airport

  I booked this thinking it's in the airport. Turns out it's opposite the old airport which is around 15 minutes drive.
  It was night so I've no idea where I was but this is standard Jin Jiang so I have no problems with the hotel room (which is always great, clean and no frills). And in any case if you don't like the room, can always ask for a change of room from the staff. That's how nice they are.
  The next day, I am able to see and this is really a good location! Right opposite is the subway station. The staff are all so nice and friendly, giving us directions and how to get to any where.
  We visited OTC by riding the subway.
  Also, with the help from the hotel, we were able to get the free shuttle to go to the airport and from the airport, take a bus directly to Hong Kong!!! Isn't that wonderful service?
  3 cheers to Jin Jiang, my favourite no frills business hotel in China!

• Easy stop-over for flights from Shenzen

  About 10 minutes from the new airport. The corridoors smell of cigarette smoke. There's a very large restaurant next door that's open late. It was about $45, which seemed standard price. Staff are OK, not much to eat inhouse though.

  I had stayed here one night in 2013 for an early bus to HK, it was a little bit difficult to find but it's quite close to the airport about 20 mins walk, when we first checked in, it was quite late at night but managed to find it , heard they had shuttle bus ,not sure so better to confirm on that.
  the hotel was quite newly built so it still has the smell,but it was clean cuz i believe it just opened by that time, its cheap and close,quite a choice for you if you stay over the airport for transfer purpose.

  After being at a few other places my expectations were actually very low. However I was pleased to see a friendly staff. Contrary to my previous experience, at least one person per shift will speak english. The little restaurant satisfied my need for non strictly chinese food, which for us foreigners is important now and then. Location is super convenient near the airport. Perhaps just enough for the business traveler who basically needs a place to crash, rest and move on.
