  This place was booked for us by an advisor who pointed out that popular big brand name properties in Shenzhen could be overpriced for no particular reason. Throughout the short stay, we didn't encounter any other "westerners" at the location, but that would be the only thing setting the place apart from a similar resort level establishment somewhere in the US, which we visited plenty of. The staff was very helpful, absolutely enough English to communicate, professional and eager to help at all levels. We got an impression that we were treated with more attentiveness than average because we were obviously, visitors from a far, but I can't complain - and I don't. Isn't it great when you come to a new place and you feel most welcomed there? The facility is "well appointed": the grounds, the restaurants. Everything is at a solid hospitality standard level, and looks very natural vs. being "made up"/"fixed up" to pleasure a low taste. It appears that the resort is a popular destination for visitors from nearby Hong Kong, but no matter where you're from I wouldn't doubt this will be a pleasant location to stay at if your path takes you to the area.

  I was a little bit reluctant to go to China for my holiday, but anywhere else are rocket high prices. No money, no honey. After 3 days of staying, I can say, this is the best staycation or short chill-out trip from Hong Kong.
  Castle Hotel can beat any international brand 5-star hotels. My wife and I didn't go out, we dined/entertained/had afternoon tea here, all staff and service were at 5-star standard. I also noticed the amenities/toiletries in guest rooms were branded. Quite impressed.
  Golf facilities were also great too, we had three rounds of complimentary trials in driving range using their coupons. Enjoyable!
  Location is a plus! 5 mins short taxi ride from Ailian 愛蓮 metro station. I can say better location than Mission Hills, newer than Mission Hills.
  Breakfast, buffet style, one of the most hearty buffet I had in China. Plenty of choices.
  Finally, the balcony bathtub is really really a highlight! AND the by-request bathtub cleaning service makes guest satisfied with the hygiene.
  Good work! Will recommend to everyone!
  PS. other hotel guests are nice too! I have never experienced anything ugly/rude/crazy things that HongKongers suffered. This is a real plus that the hotel couldn't control. :D

  I’ll start my review from the minute i opened the room blinds …. a California view !!! golf course with lake in the middle…. & i’m in Shenzhen !!!
  i don’t now about the location …. it’s far from the CBD , though u can find nearby some high-tech factories .... but in order to do some shopping u need to take taxi.
  the hotel is very beautiful !!! the rooms are big & very clean !! they have nice restaurants. They have indoor & outdoor swimming, the spa is good .... resort hotel
  In the room terrace u can find huge bath... (it's ok .... u have also one in the room ...) nice to have bath & looking on the "California's landscape"
  They have free wifi in the room ... but the connection is just fair... not good.
  So, if u want to have the quite vacation in Shenzhen .... or u have some meeting in Longgang District, Shenzhen.... this is the hotel for u !

• Excellent 5-Star Resort for a Tranquil Retreat

  The room is spacious and clean, every room has a golf course cum lake view. I love the outdoor bath tub on the balcony which you can enjoy a hot bath with a wonderful sky watching at night. The spa is excellent with tranquil environment and good massage therapists at a reasonable price. Food is delicious too. The Chinese restaurant offers inexpensive dim sum which is beautifully presented. The buffet dinner is a must-try with different kinds of great food all around the world. I highly recommend the lobster congee. Make sure you reserve your seats as early as possible. The buffet breakfast is another highlight which provides a wide range of choices; the fresh brewed coffee is an encouragement for you to start the day. The soft drinks and snacks in your room are all complimentary! After filling your stomach, you may enjoy a jogging at the beautiful garden or do some exercises at their gym. You may also practice in the driving range before playing the golf.
  Getting to the resort is not difficult. Take the Shenzhen Metro to Da Yun Station. Get a taxi at Exit B. It takes only 10mins and RMB20. Please note that this resort is an enclave, it is not recommended to go around Shenzhen while you stay in. It is a good place for a relaxing retreat from the busy city life. They offer very good price for a stay and I definitely recommend this hotel for others!

  Just stayed 3 nights at this great hotel, rooms very spacious with added bonus of hot tub on balcony. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful throughout the hotel. Food choice a little limited but did not go hungry! Outside grounds very pretty to walk through or just sit and enjoy. Will definitely stay here on my next trip to this area.
