  The themed rooms are very cool. We chose the future suite. A very big room, good views. Nice bed, very clean.
  Just across the road road a big modern shopping centre and a 10m walk from the Dongmen markets.

  The hotel is very well located in the business center of shenzhen. Got the reservation by my vendor whos office is in a walking distance. Price was a special rate-ABOUT 110$ U.S -still o.k. for such a big room. Hotel has few designes for the room-best are floors 26&27. Breakfast was rich with chinese and western dishes.
  A very good choice if you are on business-just remember that wifi internet was very slow -cable connectin was a bit better.

  I stayed a few nights at the Modern Classic hotel in Shenzhen during November 2013. The location is great for business, surrounded by brands like Cartier, Louis Viton and much more. The subway is about 2 blocks from the hotel and the subway can get you anywhere, at cheap rates, fast and safely. The buffet breakfast and buffet dinner was excellent with both variety and taste. The staff can speak fair well English or at least better than my Manderin. The rooms are great and spacious. I would recommend you stay there, Sorry no pool and no gym

  I have stay Modern Classic 4 nights, I really wish to get out from this hotel on the very 1st night, but I have book through agoda so it's non refundable so I bear with it subsequently...
  The walls, furnitures & carpets were badly stain, you must request them to change your bedsheet, wash the cups, vacuum the floor otherwise they won't do so.
  The most horrible part is that according to the duty manager, he told us they will shut down the air-con every hour or so, I felt very warm & stuffy & wake me up every middle of the night around 3-4 am, they sent their technician up to our room & he explained that their aircon system will automatically shut down while hit the temperature of 25 degree, it really sound ridiculous for a five star hotel to have such system !!! totally unacceptable.
  The price that we paid for does not worth at all, it's close to S$200/- per nite & we got such lousy service & could not enjoy the air-con which wake me up every night...
  Although the location is good, but I will never back to this hotel....
  spoil my mood.

  Stayed over for 2 nights - on the 26th floor.
  The first thing that hits you on checking in - is the huge signboard behind the counter - with all the names of blockbuster movies and the "Oscars" in front of the counter. I have never been checked in by staff using lap tops.
  The counter staff are pretty cheerful and helpful when approached.
  The hotel has several themes and we found ourselves (a total of 6 rooms) in a Mideastern styled room.
  The room is huge - two queen sized beds joined together form my bed. It is softer than the norm (in China). None of us had any complaint about the airconditioning. Operating the TV is frustrating as they incorporated adverts into the screen and actual pix is only 2/3 of the frame.
  The bathroom has all the usual amenities and has a shower and a long bath. Towels are fluffy.
  Breakfast on the 20th floor - they only open at 7am - selection is fairly comprehensive but the floor looks like it has not been cleaned for ages (the black marble flooring reflects any dirt clearly - its oily). Overall feeling having breakfast ? No good as hygiene standard is somewhat lacking.
  The chef overcooked my noodles - is soggy and not crunchy...twice on both mornings + took a long time as the heater is about 3 metres away from the counter.
  Long queues form each morning (for the lower office tower??) - the 20 and above guest rooms floors have only 2 elevators so its "rush hours" in the morning.
  Taxis - the hotel do not have a bell service - so you could be standing outside trying to flag down a cab..... we took 45 mins on a Tues evening and failed to hail a cab
  The hotel is about a hour's drive from SZX airport - so leave about 3 hours prior to your flight's departure to avoid missing your flight as traffic can be unpredictable.
