Great breakfast buffet and nice rooms

I stayed here for 2 nights recently on a business trip. The rooms were nice and comfortable. I had a bad head cold and just wanted to sleep, and could do so in these beds no problems. The breafast buffet was very good, lots of variety and I really enjoyed the freshly made omelette. The whole Venice theme and decor seems a bit tacky, but I guess some people really like that

Since years I go to the October beer festival at Venice Hotel to meet friends, customers or just enjoy the atmosphere - a bite German in Shenzhen.
Since years the same band is playing German south music, made games and make people happy - you should try at least once to go there.
Not my top choice for business travel

This is more of a tourist hotel with life size Gondola's and moving mannequins greeting you outside the main entrance. It was very busy and noisy during our stay and filled with families and their children who were in town for a holiday. Decor was borderline tacky.
Besides us, there were only a handful of Westerners staying here too - should that be of importance to you although enough English was spoken to accommodate our needs.
The rooms were very clean and spacious and beds comfortable but slightly noisy at night with music from the outside seeping in. A feel of dampness was apparent. Things just seemed to all feel slightly moist. Granted, I visited during the dead of summer with non-stop rain and 100% humidity.

I stayed at this hotel because it was the location of a business conference that I was part of. The hotel theme was wasted on me. I don't really get why you need Venice in China. Mind you, it is across the road from Window of the World with miniature versions of landmarks from around the globe (think, mini-Eiffel Tower, mini-London Tower Bridge, mini-Sydney Opera House etc etc).
Anyway, setting aside the cheesy theme the hotel was ok but not remarkable. The service was ok but quite a few staff struggled to speak English (which is fair enough given that I was in China, but every other hotel I have ever stayed in in China had very competent English speaking staff).
The room was generally clean but the carpet looked like it was due for replacement and the walls need to be repainted.

Very nice hotel conveniently located in Shenzhen windows of the world area

Nice and very welcoming hall
Swimming pool outside and inside gorgeous and good looking
Good Food and selection of restaurants
Very nice bar and disco pub at 3rd floor (same as swimming pool)
Rooms comfortables

Being a little old now rooms need to be refreshed (e.g. New carpet and furnitures)
Food overpriced
