• Dated, but convenient.

  Choose this hotel as it was the nearest to the train station in the city that I wanted to stay at. About 10 minutes walk to the station, and many shops around for food and etc.
  The rooms were dated, but it was comfortable.

  Hotel was very close to Kingkey100 but it took a while to find somebody that could actually tell us where the hotel was. Rooms were clean but the bathroom was a little worse. Wifi barely worked and the room smelt like smoke.

  This hotel is located besides a river and is around 8- mins walk from Gaomo metro station and 12-walks to Laoji metro station and Dongmen Pedestrian street.
  For those tourists on budget and shopping trip , this is an ideal place to stay.
  Room is reasonable big and clean. There is a good Chinese restaurant at the ground level offering delicious Henan dishes (spicy) and seem to be very popular with locals.
  Transport from Shenzhen airport is easy. Take metro-Line 1 (Lobao line) and alight at Gaomo station , then walk to the hotel.

  Hedong Hotel is located as per the location on google map.
  It is a good hotel with daily housekeeping.
  Rooms are spacious. Mine was a twin room.
  Wi-fi is complimentary in the room.
  There are no in-room complimentary stuff.
  Staff are helpful and friendly.
  Duration from Subway Station is 10 mins walking which is the subway line for all major attractions in shenzhen.
  It is located in a good location. Luoho Shopping commercial centre is a only a subway station ahead. Walking distance is 15 mins.
  Travelling to Hongkong is very easy and simple :
  Take the subway line or taxi to luoho station.
  The direction boards will guide you to immigration counter.
  Clear chinese immigration and than hongkong immigration and customs.
  You can catch the subway on hongkong side to your desired destination.

• Unlucky? or just terrible hotel

  I stayed on this hotel for 2 nights. Everything goes wrong during my stay. I don't know whether I was just unlucky or just this hotel itself is not worth to stay.
  I got a room which is not so clean. Then a bad incident happened. The door lock was broken. So I was locked inside my room. I waited about 2 hours before it was fixed. In other words, I wasted two hours on this hotel considering that I have only limited time in Luohu district. It's OK if it happened only once, but the door lock was broken 3 times. Even though, the hotel staff refused to transfer me to another room. There's NO even a "SORRY SIR for the inconvenience" remarks from the staff/management. The hotel even charged me for the 2 bottles of mineral water which I thought they were for free so there's no sign or price on it. They even charge the city map which I think already out-dated.
  In other words, my stay was simply not so pleasant on this hotel. I have also difficulties in communicating the receptionist in English. The bed is hard. It was merely uncomfortable to sleep.
  I don't think I am coming back to this hotel. It's not even cheap hotel.
