Tried the JW for the 1st time this trip. Compared to other 5 stars I've stayed at in ShenZhen it was okay, but not special. Room clean; however, bathroom had a distinct sewer smell after the shower was used that took time to disappear. Gym facilities nice. Executive lounge offerings good & staff was friendly. Not close to metro.

The staff here, especially Ashton - the assistant restaurant manager - took great care of us. Was not happy with my initial room and had them move us to a corner room, with a much better view of the city. The pool is outdoor, but clean and nice for swimming. Breakfast buffet was nice and the dinner buffet even better. Gym was very nice and clean and staffed with trainers. Would definitely stay here again.

I came to shenzhen for 4 days. And the hotel was ideally located to manage all my business trip in this city. The room was much better than I expected (regarding all the stupid comments of the colum) and the amenties were excellent. I enjoy every meal I took there and have great time with the new french pastry chef Clement, who give me useful insight for my free time. The pool is very good and so peaceful that you can forget about the stress of the city.
I will for sure come back there on my next trip.
With the company of a huge pillar you never feel alone in the room

Stayed in August for a week to attend a conference. There is nothing much to praise about this hotel despite the Marriott brand. The hotel is located a 10-15 minutes’ walk away from the nearest metro station. The rooms are not very spacious. It seems that the rooms are not designed by a professional architect. In my room, there was a huge pillar which blocked 70 percent of light entering the room from the window. The ceiling shower was located next to the edge of the bath tub, so you cannot take the shower without hitting the bath tub again and again. The restaurant is not spacious enough to take the morning breakfast crowd. Therefore, even though there are vacant tables available, the restaurant staff insists on sharing the table. For Indian vegetarian guests, there is nothing much in the restaurant menu.
The only highlight was the huge LED screen for presentation available in one of the conference halls.
The guest room and bathroom amenities are impressive.
Overall an average experience.

There are many great hotel in ShenZhen, I am used to coming often to the city and it was the first time I stayed at the JW Marriot in Futian. It was really a great stay, the hotel is really convenient, well located, the room was quite big for ShenZhen standards, and the pool was really quite; great for some relaxing time. I will also have to praise that the hotel has a great buffet, fresh food with a large variety of choices. A special mention to the desert sectionof the buffet with really exquisite an delicate mousse, pastry and cake. The lemon pie and the tiramisu mousse were really fine art - really worth trying them !!!
