東京 | Nov 7, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessCheap taxi is available for travelling. Many expenses related to the foreigners are expensive in China but no unfairness for taxi thus you easily can move to anywhere by taxi without worrying your expense.
Fairly moden and well equipped hotel but the room rate is not cheap compared to the standard pricing in China. -

The room is affordable, clean and the staff is helpful. The dinner at the restaurant didn't appeal so we walked to OCT for dinner. It was only 15 minutes walk to the dozen of shops and bars there, and after learning the directions, it was 10 minutes to walk back. -

The comfortable bedrooms, the great pool, friendly and efficient staff and a great variety of breakfast dishes make it a great place to stay.

Sydney, Australia | Aug 12, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessWe chose to stay at Novotel Bauhunia (Accor Group) when visiting Shenzhen, although we could have stayed at another hotel closer to Baon district where we had most of our meetings.
There were a few good staff in Concierge and Reception, but in general lacks English or Chinglish which I can speak and understand after working in China for the past 15 years.
The breakfast buffet lacks life and not many staff we could find. I spotted a Chef and asked for an omelette (as the fried eggs were cold on a shelf with no many takers; there were only a few guests anyway).
Car pickup from Shekou ferry terminal and for meetings worked out well, but on the last day the car did not turn up for going to the airport. Staff was running helter-skelter; I insisted on getting a taxi not to miss our flight. I received an email apologising for the stuff up and they agreed to reimburse the fare. But, I found in my credit card statement a charge and not a "refund".
Overall, the hotel standard need a significant lift in all areas to attract business customers.
Not recommended for business travellers. -

Restaurant is good but little expansive.
Easy to take a taxi.
Rooms are clean but little dark. So hard to do some work in the room.
