  Don't expect your self to be pampered. Very well behaved staff and everyone speaks English. Rooms are spacious. Bathrooms are spacious but cleaning services must be improved. Found a lot of mould in the corners. Walking distance to the Ferry pier and the Hilton. Seaworld is around the corner as well.
  Don't expect a lavish spread for the breakfast buffet.

  Clean room, spacious, nice view, friendly staff, close to Seaworld plaza, fast wifi. We got a free upgrade to a deluxe room so I'm not sure what the regular price is but I'm sure all rooms are just as clean and nice.

  My stay in a deluxe suite from February 9th-13th was most enjoyable and represented excellent value. The hotel is well located, close to Shekou Port for the Hong Kong Macao ferry, Shenzhen Metro and Sea World. There are first class stores around the corner selling imported American foodstuffs, as well as two restaurants opposite the hotel. The bathroom just needed a little bit more cleaning to get rid of some mould, and a leaking can in the fridge needed mopping up, but I feel that in general the hotel's cleanliness has definitely been improving. A taxi to/from Shenzhen airport should cost no more than CNY 80, but may take 45 minutes in the rush hour; firmly dismiss taxi touts when arriving at the airport.

  The Hotel is located very close to Shekou ferry terminal with ferrys reaching HongKong, HongKong airport, Zhuhai, Macau and others. At the ferry terminal the metro is located as well. The staff was Quick, effective but missed the smile, and the feeling that they where there for your sake. We first got a smoking room that smelled of smoke, but we got it changed without any problem, the non smoker room smelled of mould though better than the smoking, but you got used to the smell after 15 min. The rooms are big, clean and very comfortable, with a large very nice shower, we got a room close to a very trafficated road, and i could immagin that if you are staying closer to the ground floor that could be a problem for light sleeper, the other site of the Hotel should be better. The view from the terrace was amazing. out on Shenzhen, shekou and the harbor. though there was nothing to sit on, on our floor. In the area there are restaurents both chinese and western and western supermarket with imported food, pricy but if you live in shenzhen you are willing to pay. the breakfast was a mix of chinese and western and the coffee very good. You can feel that this Hotel has been very great for 5 years ago and are a bit worn out. but still ok for the value.

  The first room I was offered reeked of stale cigarettes. It seems to me that either the windows had not been opened since the last guests stayed there, or it had not been cleaned well. The 'upgraded' room I was given smelt of mould, the windows were closed and I was unable to escape what was a strong, and I assume unhealthy, odour. When I showered I could see that there was visible mould growing on the shower curtains. A good dose of disinfectant, exit mould and some better ventilation would surely improve what would otherwise be a decent hotel. The included breakfast was definitely not something to get excited about. By the time booking fees are included it is not real cheap. I wouldn't expect 5 star luxury for under 400RMB but I think basic cleanliness, health and hygiene should not be too much to ask.
