• Good hotel but terrible breakfast

  Good value hotel , located in a quite area ( no noise in the morning) the room was ok and look quite new , the staff friendly but the breakfast sucks for French: no pastry (croissant) no bread ...
  I won't come again because of the breakfast...... I prefer to stay in Honlux even if the room are older because I do need a serious breakfast.
  Overall I do recommend this hotel if you don't care about breakfast

• One night stay at U Hotel

  We stayed in U Hotel for one night. The hotel room was big, neat and clean. The staffs were helpful too. It was situated near many commercial and residential areas. Quite a few eating outlets. A decent place to stay. There were shopping mall near the hotel too. At night, when we went to Costal City shopping centre which was 2km away from the hotel, it was do difficult to get a taxi back to the hotel. Most of the taxi drivers will pick up passengers who were on call. Finally we spot someone who alight from a van and paid the driver money. I think this is a private van taxi. We asked whether he can drive us to our hotel since we had been trying to get a cab for 1.5hrs without any success. He was not really sure of the way but will alight us nearby and said with the congested traffic, it was difficult for him to go to our hotel. He told us to alight at the traffic and walk 200m. Without much choice, we board the van. After we alighted , we asked people along our way. No one seems to know even we show them the address in Chinese. People seems to know better if we mentioned a commercial building which is next to the hotel. The name of the building is call "Mei Lian Complex" in Mandarin. As the weather was getting windy and with the rain, we finally get a motorist taxi to drive us back. With just short distance, he told us to give him any amount we feel comfortable, what a relief!

  I loved this hotel for so many reasons. First it's clean, modern, and has all the nice amenities for sub hundred bucks. It's also in a neighborhood that gives you a feeling you are actually in a community. Have a morning coffee and you see people doing exercise, waking dogs, taking kids to school. So much better than any other place I stayed (Crown plaza, Hilton , sky light). This is where I will stay when I come again.

  The hotel is nicely located near the tech park and near a small mall. It's also located near eateries so there are plenty of choices. But the rooms are old and the floor looks always dirty all the time. The rooms smell like smoke even after transferred to another room. The staff are not very friendly or helpful and don't feel welcomed in this hotel. The breakfast is awful with limited choices so it's better to eat outside. The hotel is bed is ok and shower amenities are decent. The telephone in the room looks very old and dirty and there is no interactive TV in the room. The hotel also has no gym. If one is only looking a mid priced and good location hotel then this is a good choice. But you are looking for a hotel with modern features and good amenities then this is not the right hotel for you.

• Clean rooms, helpful staff, good service

  Pros-
  The hotel is located in a business area close to many companies, a shopping mall and Walmart. Stayed here for a week.
  We found the staff to be extremely accommodating despite the language barrier. The first day we only 'toured' the breakfast tables that included a variety of Chinese soups and breakfast dishes and asked for coffee. Paid for a cup of cappuccino that was simply amazing. The next day there was a table set up for us with buns, toast, butter, jam, cereal and hot coffee! This set up was there for the whole week we stayed.
  The rooms were thoroughly cleaned daily.
  
  Cons-
  The biggest issue for us was the mold on the wall joining the shower stall to the bedroom. There is a constant water leak through the tiles into the wall and although the walls are concrete there is a distinguishable smell of mold and you can clearly see the water damage beneath the paint. If I happen to stay here again I'll ask for a room that has a different shower set up than this room.
