Nice hotel and good food
krezie23
Malia, Greece | Sep 13, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessDidn't spend too long at this hotel so not sure about the location but the food was really very good in quality and variety and the rooms were nice, clean and modern. The gym facilities were great but unfortunately, no pool.

A little screw up but otherwise good enough hotel
88WorldTraveller88
Singapore, Singapore | Aug 9, 2025 | Trip type: CouplesScrew-up: I booked and paid for this hotel via hotels.com for two person. However, the frontdesk insisted that breakfast was only for one person and the second person was chargeable at RMB 80. Hotels.com staff discussed with the manager on the contractual agreement but could not get Asta hotel to agree. Still, Hotels.com compensated me with a voucher for future bookings.
Breakfast itself is a decent spread. Good enough for me.
The room is nicely decorated with a big comfy bed and many pillows.
Wifi is fast enough.
There is no bath tub. Water pressure is good. Toiletriess are included.
2 free water bottles and the other 2 are chargeable at RMB 25 each.
Gym is big and good.
There is construction in front of the hotel but I don't hear any noise from my room.
Short walk to Fumin MTR.
Lots of eating places around the hotel.
Taxi fare from airport is around RMB 120. -
Noisy

Jan 29, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessStayed at the Asta for two nights last week. Although we were on the 15th floor we could still hear the noise from the construction of the underground railway station they are building outside the front door of the hotel. It goes on 24 hours a day.
The facilities and food are good in the hotel, however very little English is spoken. The staff are friendly and pleasant. -
Regular Stay whenever I visit Shenzhen
BENJAMIN L
Singapore, Singapore | Dec 30, 2025 | Trip type: Friends getawayI have been staying in Asta whenever I travel to Shenzhen for busines, pleasure or golf. My last stay was Dec 26-28.
The hotel is not exactly new, I believe being in operation for more than 7 years. Understand that it is managed and owned by a Malaysian/Singaporean owner. Hence, one can find bak kut teh and nasi lemak in the buffet breakfast menu.
The rooms are all of decent size. The hotel is progressively providing wifi th all its rooms. All rooms have ethernet cable, and hence if wifi is not available, one can request the housekeeping dept to provide a wifi router.
The hotel had undergone some limited scale of upgrading, primarily to its 21st floor by including business executive rooms and lounge. The gymn has also been upgraded. A new spa/massage operator is also found on the fourth floor of the hotel.
There is a good chinese restaurant on the second and third floor of the hotel, the second floor being offering more economical options while the third floor provides more expensive dining. The restaurant is popular amongst locals on the weekends especially for the dim sum yum cha .
One main reason I like staying in ASTA, despite that it is not one of those international hotel chains, is its proximity to some good decent dining options around the hotel and across the street . For those who are searching for entertainments, there are quite a few KTV joints within a one kilometre radius over at 水围 area. For those seeking relaxation and be pampered with rubs and pedicure, there are also quite a few big massage joints in its vicinity. To name a few, 东方虹 , 世外桃源 , 水上明珠 。
The nearest MTR station is about 8 minutes walk away .
I will continue to stay in this hotel in my future visits. -
Nice hotel, with some caveats
Timothy N
Union City, California | Nov 14, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessStayed for 3 nights on a business trip. Room was clean and spacious, service was OK. Free breakfast included, with many hot and cold food choices. There is no WiFi but there is wired internet in room with included Ethernet cable. There are a few things you should be aware of.
There is currently a big construction project on the street right in front of the hotel, so you might not get direct taxi service to/from the hotel on certain days or certain times of day. My hotel room faced the other side so noise from the construction was not an issue.
If you are taking a taxi to the hotel, make sure you print out the name of the hotel in Chinese (深圳皇軒酒店) to give to the taxi driver as most of them don't recognize the name "Asta".
Also, if you book a ride to the HK airport through the hotel, make sure you confirm with them what is included in the trip and get all the necessary paperwork (receipt/ticket). The shuttle from the hotel only takes you to the Shenzhen Bay checkpoint, where you transfer to another shuttle that takes you across the border and to the airport. You need a ticket to board the border-crossing shuttle, but the hotel didn't provide me one. I showed them the hotel receipt which included the payment for the HK airport ride, but they kept asking for the ticket. I had to call the hotel after a while they finally decided to let me board the shuttle. I booked it through the hotel for the convenience but it was anything but.
