  I spent one night there and the room was correct. Reception staff can speak English. However breakfast was not enjoyable at all. First they have not enough seats in the breakfast room so you end up in the lobby bar area. The food was ok, I was not expecting too much. But no service and for any reason a waitress was blocking the lifts at the breakfast level so when you are in your room level, it is difficult to go down. Not too smart...

  Be careful, because many of the reviews for this hotel are actually for the Grand Skylight in downtown Shenzhen. This hotel is located north of Shenzhen.
  I stayed here when this hotel was brand-new, and it's not any better now. The hotel staff barely speaks English, making important communication very difficult. The breakfast buffet is sub par. The AC in the rooms apparently does not get rid of the humidity, because everything – bed, clothing, EVERYTHING – is always a bit damp. I did not have this problem when staying at a much cheaper, lower quality hotel during the same visit.
  The bathroom is very spacious, and there is ample counterspace. The water pressure is fine. The towels appear to be several years old, as they are very ragged on the edges. Don't look too close at anything, or you will realize the hotel is not very clean.

  Well located for visiting industrial estates and manufacturing companies it was a challenge at the airport to get a taxi to go the 40 minute journey. The hotel is big, clean and comfortable. I had to remove a hard mattress cover off the bed before I could sleep though - very strange. The room had all the extras you could think of, most were complementary, some with charges.
  Breakfast wasnt great, plenty of tinned fruit but I wanted to stay clear of the hot food. Very obliging for a late check-out.

• Nicest place I've found in Northern SZ

  This is really a nice hotel in northern Shenzhen. I've stayed twice; most recently at the end of December 2014.
  I thought the rooms were clean and comfortable, and English was acceptable.
  Actually, I really like the rooms! Floor to ceiling windows, for example, with electric curtains that you control with a remote.
  The overall ambiance of the property was very nice. They have a large, beautiful atrium and lobby bar, and then a 2nd tier outdoor garden/bar on maybe the 4th or 5th floor.
  I liked it and would stay again.
  There were only a few downsides:
  Food selection is really not great. It did not feel particularly Chinese; nothing spicy. The breakfast bar is nothing to brag about. And the breakfast area is a bit small. The restaurant is undersized for the capacity of the hotel. I don't eat often in the hotel, so this is not a huge problem for me. (It close to Guanlan, which has some great outdoor "streetfood" places. I really like that area, as long as you are with Chinese. I'm not sure I'd try it by myself.)
  And you need to be prepared to haggle if trying to get to the hotel from the MTR. It is the typical badgering mob of taxi drivers outside the MTR exit. Instead of just jumping in the taxi and starting the meter, they instead want to negotiate the price. It took me a few times to learn to just say "USE METER". They start out trying to negotiate $40RMB for the drive; with the meter, it's maybe $15RMB.

  Stayed over 1 night. Large room with transparent glass toward bathroom. Have had this style quite some times in China! Reception was friendly. Service to get a car was helpful. We had dinner at Japanese restaurant. It was ok. I was not impressed by the breakfast though.
