My wife and I stayed at this hotel in Oct. 2015 and really enjoyed it. Great location for shopping in Shenzhen and to catch Metro to other areas. Only complaint might be the hard mattress on the bed. We like a firm bed but this mattress was harder than we are used to. We didn't like the frosted glass walls to the bathroom. Don't know why designers think that putting frosted glass walls in a private area such as a bathroom is a good idea.
Breakfast is good but get there early when everything is fresh. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Don't know why people are complaining about the internet. We didn't have any problems except that google is not available in China because of a political issue. We would stay there again

If you plan on doing major shopping and leisure, this is the place to stay. Hotel is clean and staff are friendly, and they have a clean massage centre next door. Hotel stayers get a discount too. Food and shopping is all around you, and you will not regret staying at this place. - dp.

The location is good, near shopping street and near underground station. Nothing special in the facilities and room, just a proper basic hotel. Practically there is no internet connection. It is so poor that you cannot rely on it.

My husband and I go over the border into Shenzhen for s night every once and a while. We usually stay st the Sunon because of its location. However, the beds have the usual very firm/ hard Chinese mattress but we use the extra duvets in the cupboards and fold them to put under the bottom sheet. We have a loyalty card that means we get the romm for an extremely good price if we don't book it online. Even without the card this hotel is very reasonably priced. The breakfast is more Chinese than Western, but there are still enough Western options e.g cereal and fruit, eggs, sausges, toast etc. The building is quiet, and there are people who speak English at the reception desk. The greatest benefits of staying at this hotel are the proximity to Dongmen and the metro. There is a large Pacific Coffee cafe close by, in a new shopping complex, and restaurants and bars a short walk away. Dongmen is good location for getting the train to various sites in Shenzhen because Laojie station is anterchange station for two train lines.

Great location for shopping trip. Located right in the Lao Jie (Old street) where all the bargains are available. Convenient located next to metro. Plenty eateries nearby . We love to dine at the Chinese restaurants especially their roast goose.
