I will be arriving earlier/later than the stated check-in time. Can I still check in?

Usually this is not a problem; you can arrange for an after-hours check-in with most hotels. However, you should always confirm with the hotel. You can use the "Special Requests" box in the booking process to inform them of your estimated arrival time in writing. It's important to remember that the property can't always accommodate these requests. It's always best to check with the property directly and in advance to avoid confusion. You can contact the hotel directly by calling them, the local telephone number you can get from Nehow's Local Guide after you finish the booking.

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

I want to check out after the stated check-out time. What should I do?

A late check-out can only be arranged with the hotel and usually depends on availability at the time of your stay. You can ask about the possibility at the front desk upon arrival.

  • Nice, but avoid dinner in the hotel restaurant
    Floyd F
Brussels, Belgium | Oct 24, 2025 | Trip type: Business

I notice that people have many nice things to say about this hotel; actually, I agree with those comments. The people are great; rooms are quite nice; design is very pleasing; gym and pool are first rate. But there is something wrong with the picture, and this is called DINNER in the restaurant. The following comments are charitable and based upon two buffet dinners in the main restaurant and one dinner in the on-site bar, which had its food prepared in the same restaurant:
Although there are some Western dishes, most entrees are Chinese. Normally, this might be agreeable, but pig knuckles and feet, salmon head, and other creepy stuff? I tried the BBQ spare ribs, which looked great, but they were mostly bone and fat. How about the steak grilled in front of your eyes? It was nervy and fatty--a very poor cut of meat. Someone obviously ordered a hamburger, so the cook whipped out a meat patty which was half an inch thick and totally GRAY. It wasn't frozen; it had been sitting out for way too long, as I discovered in the bathroom at about 3:00 am that night. Even the Chinese dishes were predominated by bone and gristle. You can circle around all the stations and do the math: most everything looks inedible or poisoning waiting to happen. Not to be totally disparaging, but the only saving grace was the sushi, which went down well (so to speak).
Interestingly, breakfast in the same restaurant is an altogether different experience. The balance of Western and Chinese dishes was about right, the pastries better than in most Chinese hotels, and overall, it is something you can look forward to.
BUT, the fact that dinner in their restaurant is such an unmitigated disaster should cause this hotel to lose a star--and its dinner chef.
Oh, and in case you might be wondering: the manager thought he was being generous by taking the dinner "in question" off the bill.

stayed at the this hotel, centally located next to metro station and electronics market. did have a great stay. The staff was wonderfully helpful even in English. The hotel was clean - the room very nicely updated with mini fridge and fruit. We had a buffet breakfast.

  • Perfect Welcome and Send-Off. This is how to do it!

Manitouwadge, Ontario | Jul 2, 2025 | Trip type: Business

I came directly from the high speed rail station by taxi. As i do not speak Chinese, I showed a preprinted address sheet to the driver. He got lost. I was ushered out of his taxi without paying and then flagged down a passing cab. He carried me for ten minutes then I was delivered to a hotel. Which hotel, however, I wasn't sure as there is no discernible signage, in any language.
"Good morning, Sir", said the foreign lobby captain. He was smiling. He made eye contact. He was friendly. He extended his right arm.
I made eye contact. I smiled. I shook his hand. We then proceeded to have a lovely conversation. I did not stay in the hotel. I arrived to participate in an afternoon trade fair. The lobby captain walked me over to the ballroom where my session would be held. We continued our conversation. We kept smiling. We then shook hands again and he returned to his post at the front door.
My next stop was the concierge desk so that I could arrange for a taxi to come at 5:30 that afternoon to pick me up and take me to the airport. I was honestly told that it would be difficult to find a taxi at 5:30 in the afternoon because this is the time that taxi drivers change shifts. The concierge told me that he would do his best to find a taxi for me but if not, I would need to pay twice the regular fare to the hotel's private driver. The reason for this is that the driver cannot pick up a fare at the airport and must return empty.
At 5:20, the concierge came to claim me in the meeting room. He told me that a taxi was waiting for me downstairs to take me to the airport.
In between, lunch in the buffet restaurant was terrific. Staff members were cheerful. They said hello. They spoke English beautifully and treated me like they were glad to be of service.
I cannot vouch for anything more than the first floor. I tell my own staff to build a solid foundation from the ground up and the folks who took care of me at the Pavilion Hotel did a wonderful job.

  • Not bad hotel for the weekend!
    bruceywonder
Hong Kong, China | Jun 4, 2025 | Trip type: Couples

Stayed here for 3days 2nights over the long weekend. I haven't been to Shenzhen for quite sometime and just needed a quick get away from Hong Kong so chose Shenzhen. The hotel price was approx HK$1,100 per night (excluding breakfast) and I just wanted a decent hotel. As the weather was raining, I chose hotels with indoor swimming pool and some facilities. Didn't really want to be close to the Lo Wu station but not that far either. As breakfast not included in the rate, i never tried the breakfast.
    Location
Right next to the Huaqiang North metro station. Its around 5mins walk to the technology/computer centers where you have plenty of choices for laptops and mobile phones. Across the road, theres 7-11, KFC (24hrs) and a few local restaurants/cafes within walking distance where you can buy takeaway. I did that for the 2 nights rather than spending it in the hotel restaurants which is probably better in Hong Kong.
    Room
The room size is relatively big and decent, although the only small complaint I have is the distance between the bed and TV. Theres a 2~3 seater sofa and also a small seating area by the window where you can easily sit at the window-sill and see outdoors. The toilet is very big with separate shower and bathtub. Free wireless inside the room. Complimentary bottled water is provided each day (Evian water charged!). I didn't really use the mini-bar but it looks alright. Basic toiletries is provided such as tooth brushes/paste, comb, soap, etc..
    Facilities
I only used minimum facilities there such as the swimming pool. You are required to wear the swimming cap which provided but goggle not provided and charges like RMB20 to buy. Quite good as its the indoor pool. Walked around the gym, looks quite decent and good. Theres a really small driving range and also yoga room which probably has lessons for the local residents. Other than that, I can't comment as never used it.
    Overall
The hotel is very good for a great escape, probably other hotels are like that but not sure. Indoor pool with gym is great. The location is right next to the metro so makes it important.

  • Great hotel and facilities
