  The Jen is a modern, welcoming and well run hotel. Walking distance from the main station, with many malls, markets and restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
  A great hotel for business or tourism.
  Recommended.

• Old building with below averaged Shangri La quaity

  An old building and outdated appearance both outside and inside. No way you can have any feeling nor touch that this is an Shangri La hotel chain. Mostly likely it is acquired by Shangri La and positioned for lower budget traveler.
  I should have done more home work, not to book this hotel simply because its name started with Shangri La in Chinese.
  The buffet was very simple and end up with not much I feel I want to eat. The carpet inside the building is dirty with stain. The bed sheet was cleaned
  Definitely, not a Shangri La standard, not even a Trader Hotel (typically 4 stars quality) neither. I like to rate it 2.5 star but I can only rate it 3 stars in the system provided

  Like in my title the hotel staff is the key of this hotel they are nice and friendly very helpful . The Hotel on the other hand could use an uplift and renovation. Location is good situated . Restauration is o the moderate site .

  Hotel staffs in club lounge are attentive and very friendly with excellent services. They provided prompt services at breakfast. I felt comfortable like at home. The location of the hotel is very good. There are several shopping malls, a lot of restaurants and a train station nearby the hotel. It is definitely convenient place for shopping and dining, even traveling by train. The room was very clean and well maintained. It never missed hot water. Even located in the centre of city, I did not hear much noise from streets of outside. So, it was very comfortable to stay this hotel. I'm sure to book this hotel again when I come to Shenyang.

  The former Trader's Hotel now belongs to the Jen-Group.
  So far, no change is visible, except for the name and that all employees can be identified by a golden badge (just like a police badge).
  Rooms are okay but a bit outdated, my room was rather clean, except for some stains on the carpet and the headboard of the bead. Windows are very dirty and dull, it's either on the outside or between the window-panes. My room had a slight chemical petroleum smell.
  Breakfast buffet is standard, with lots of choices for both western and chinese tastes, there are two small coffee-machines serving freshly ground and brewed espresso or coffee, however no cappucino or latte.
  Free Wifi is available in all areas of the hotel, speed is okay.
  The gym is open 24h, however towels are only available while an attendand is there, which is only between 07:30 and 21:30. The gym is completely overheated (the thermometer on the wall showed nearly 30 degrees Celsius), aircondition is not working, so there's a lot of sweat... thats why the baseplate of the only elliptical trainer is very rusty. No disinfectant wipes available.
