My 2nd stay in the same hotel in Shenyang. It is a bit old and thus needs some upgrading. Wifi is poor. However, room and bedsheet are clean; staff are friendly too. Location is idea and there are many eateries, restaurants nearby...

The entrance of the hotel looks quite good and impressive but this stopes when you enter the room.Furniture is really dated, walls look like they need some fresh paint.I asked from a smoker room and the smell was terrible the entire period of my stay.Only thing i guess they do is make the bed and (maybe) chenge the towels which also have a strange smell.Bathroom is ok, you have separate tub and shower which is nice.wifi is working acceptable.Breakfast is also good with many chices you can pick from.Gym was very well equiped.We can relax also at a indoor swimming pool or tennis court.Left to the hotel is Zhongshan Squre with Mao's staue and on the right side, 10 minutes walk is Taiyuan street for all shopping enthusiasts

This old hotel offers clean room that is furnished with better quality furniture. Flat screen TV offers several English speaking channels as well as free English speaking movies. The bed-end seating is nice for a lazy afternoon TV watching even though there is a small lounging chair with matching footrest and a small couch by the window. The room we had looks out to the street and the University Medical Center that is across the street. The bathroom has an old fashioned tub and a shower. The room also has an electric kettle with complimentary coffee and tea as well as bottles of water. The facility is well equipped with nice indoor swimming pool and tennis court. It also as a gym although I did not use it. The breakfast is good with many choices. It is a stone throw away from the Mao Statue. There is an underground shopping near the statue. We went in once and found that it is so large that we could had difficulty finding way out. It was a bit scary if in case there is an emergency and one cannot find a way out. There are also a large modern/high end shopping center as well as street shopping and eateries nearby. We booked for 4 nights here and decided to stay a few more, but the hotel was fully booked, so we had to pack up and walk around the corner to Holiday Inn.

I'm an American. I stayed her for 7 days and I've to say I was very impressed with every aspect of this hotel. The rooms were incredibly clean, very friendly and helpful hotel employees. In every aspect, I find this to be a wonderful place to stay. The meals were very good. I've seen others complain and give a lesser rating... no clue how they were treated or.. all I can tell you is I've no reason what so ever to look elsewhere on my next trip in a few months.
