A wonderful stay

I chose this hotel in July 2018 because the TripAdvisor reviews were unequivocally positive. I stayed in a one-bedroom apartment which had been very recently renovated, so it still had the smell of brand new furniture, and was impeccably clean. There was a kitchen, a huge living room, bedroom, and a beautiful bathroom with separate tub and shower. The unit as a whole was larger than most NYC apartments - it was a lot of space for one person, and would be perfect for a family (they have two-bedroom apartments too). The bed was unbelievably comfortable (wish I could have the same bed at home!). Breakfast selection was extensive even for a vegetarian, and the pastries and made-to-order omelettes were very tasty. What I was most impressed with, however, was the level of service. The receptionists (Emily, plus an older woman whose name I didn't catch but whose photograph is featured on the hotel website, so I felt like I was meeting a celebrity) during check-in were warm and welcoming. Shawn, who helped me during check-out by writing the name of my Beijing hotel (where I was headed next) in Chinese characters (important to communicate to taxi cab drivers if you don't speak Chinese), was fantastic. Finally, although the hotel was undergoing a big renovation project, I never heard any construction noise during the day. Thank you for a wonderful stay, Sofitel Shenyang Lido!

Newly renovated rooms

The hotel is in the middle of its massive renovation. I had the pleasure of staying in one of their newly renovated rooms. First impressions are great, but they have taken away the American bathroom amenities and replaced them with something else. Service is fantastic as always. I would like to give a shout out to Jason, amazing butler who makes his guests feel at home.
Hot food in the lounge needs to improve.

Always the first choice

Whenever our family needs to travel between citys, Lido sofitel is always our first choice to stay, it has a very good location ,near the subway station also close to the entrance of the highway, no matter what kind of vehicle you are taking it will be very convenient. The service in the hotel is also great, especially Jason from club lounge, he is awesome. The hotel is doing renewation for the moment, Really looking forward to try their new room next time.
