  The trouble with the Hyatt brand is that the quality of the properties is highly variable. For example I wouldn't send my mother-in-law to the Hyatt in Bangalore while the Grand Hyatt Shenyang is the other end of the spectrum - Hyatt at its best. The hotel is new and the rooms are beautifully appointed. The property is also well located downtown and its connect to the very new and grand Mixc Mall.
  There is a great selection of bars and restaurants to choose from. For a taste of China hipster culture visit the nightclub on the top floor but be ready: smoking indoors is still allowed!
  One thing to be aware of is that the reception desk is located on the 24th floor and all the rooms are below it. So, to check in, you take the elevator up, get your key and then go down to your room using the internal lifts. Its a confusing if you arrive tired and late at night.
  Breakfast is an extensive buffet with beautiful views out over greater Shenyang. The BMW plants in the region attract a German clientelle so plenty of European specialities are available.
  All in all a faultless experience in terms of the property, the amenities and the service. Highly recommended.

  Excellent facilities, with spacious and very quiet rooms. The staff is very helpful and efficient. Most of the staff speaks English, which is quite rare in China. Excellent breakfast buffet. For me the best choice in Shenyang.

  The Grand Hyatt Shenyang offers one of the best hotel experiences not only in Shenyang. It's one of the best run hotels I've been to. Very attentive staff, high quality food, great service, nice design.

  Outstanding hotel right from being greeted in lobby by doormen right thru to checkout all staff were pleasant to deal with. Stayed 2 nights at the hotel, rooms were perfect condition and all amenities were provided. Beautiful standing rain drop shower and huge 2-3 person tub with underneath lighting making the jet lag that much easier to recover from. Hotel Bar which is Nightclub on 29th floor was something the business traveler might like to enjoy in the evenings. Breakfast buffet was fabulous and had everything one might expect on the menu. Evening buffet on Friday was Seafood was one of the nicest I have ever seen, and included beer. Must stay hotel for Shenyang. Fitness area including pool area was most enjoyable and extremely clean and welcoming.

  The hotel was booked for me through my client and is is said to be the best hotel in town. I go every year to Shenyang for business. With the lobby being on the 18th floor (don't remember exactly what flour though) it is very confusing when you need to call the elevator if you need to select up or down, because rooms / bar / pool / lounge are located above or under the lobby floor. Maybe a sign indicating where those are at the elevator lobby could clear confusion experienced by other guests as well. When I arrived and planned to go to bed (01:00 AM, I flew in pretty late) after mu checkin, I realised the door of my room could not close with the lock, only with the small chain on top of the door. I decided not to call maintenance that late and slept with my belongings in my safe. I had it fixed the next day. The Assistant Front Office Manager, Mr Rudy JEAN, is the hotel's most important asset. He truly cares about an exceptional level of customer service, being friendly and efficient. Not surprisingly he graduated from the best hotel school in the world, l'Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne. Breakfast was very good, nice choice, good quality. I went to the bar upstairs on evening and I was very pleased to have a nice cigar, I have to note that it is very rare to have a hotel selling quality cigars these days in China. The hotel is surrounded by construction works so make sure you ask for a room on a quiet side. It is probably the best hotel in Shenyang right now so I do reference it if you have any travel there, business or leisure-wise. The pool is great, they have a sauna and a steam (just visited it, didn't use it unfortunately).
