• Very pleasantly surprised

  This was the one hotel we didn't hand pick ourselves. Our travel agent suggested it and because we'd had enough of making decisions about our 5 week trip, we just told him to go ahead and book it.
  It was later when I read the reviews that I started to panic. Many reviews were very negative about this hotel including the cleanliness but it was too late to change our reservation and we had only reserved the room for one night to be close to the airport for our morning flight.
  From the moment I arrived I was very pleasantly surprised by everything about this hotel. They run a very friendly, efficient, regular and convenient shuttle service to and from the airport using both mini buses and full size buses depending on the need and you can use it as many times as you need to. You can go back to the airport for a meal after checking in or to the train station if you need to go to Shanghai city. It is very easy to travel by train to and from Shanghai.
  The reception staff I encountered spoke excellent English and were very helpful and welcoming.
  We had reserved a Superior room and found it to be very pleasant and clean with all the facilities you find in most hotel rooms. I find it is usually best to book a Superior or higher room in Asia and in doing so I have so far found all rooms to be of a very reasonable standard.
  The room wasn't fancy and not as spacious as rooms we had booked for our city visits but this hotel is mainly used for one night stopovers when either flying in or out of the airport and it serves it's purpose extremely well.
  The price was excellent and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a clean and pleasant room close to the airport for a night.
  We didn't partake of the breakfast which was included in our room price because we were in a hurry to get to the airport in the morning.
  I would definitely stay there again when using Shanghai airport.

• Excellent Shuttle service .

  I found the shuttle service was excellent.They had a shuttle every half hour on the hour to and from the hotel.Gate 12 Terminal 1 was the pick up point from the airport.A 20 mins. drive to and from the airport.They gave you a free english map of the city which shows all the tourist spots.The room was clean and bed was comfortable.The metro Line 2 goes straight from the airport.Try the Maglev from the airport.It cost 50 rmb for a 15 mins. 430kph trip where you can watch the speed rise from 0 - 430 kph on a monitor.Get off and continue your journey on the metro.You will see the sign to the Maglev as you are walking to line 2 from the airport.

  The hotel is close to Pudong Airport and ideal for early morning departure. The hotel had onsite restaurant and buffet was available for dinner, however the choices for vegetarians or western type dishes was limited. What was surprising that sitting in the restaurant one couldn't order the room service menu! The hotel provides free shuttle bus to the airport and even though I was the only passenger for the 4.30am departure, the shuttle still took me to the airport.

  The hotel is very close to the airport and offer free shuttle buses , each half hour. That's about it. Functional structure, limited comfort and facilities, average clean room. very affordable prices.

  This is one of the worse hotels I have ever stayed in, it was so dirty I didn't dare walking around without shoes, the staff is rude, even for chinese standards, there was one person who spoke english and did not make any effort to make us feel comfortable, they offer Wi Fi but it doesn't work, and there are no options for eating. Save yourself the trouble and spend some more money elsewhere, don't let a bad stay ruin your trip.
