No waltzing in Vienna
Lam N
Singapore, Singapore | Jun 1, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessSurprising that a large international airport like PVG does not have good transit hotel options. The airport hotel located between the two terminals is on a first-come first-served basis, and is often full. The very helpful airport staff helped me choose this one (as the reportedly-better Ramada did not have any availability until a few hours after my arrival.)
Vienna is 15-20 minutes away by shuttle bus. If you need a place to shower and rest for 4-5 hours, this is pretty decent (wifi, working aircon and hot water, clean sheets, water bottles, etc). Staff speak little English but are quite frankly. Otherwise, it is just a 3-star hotel in the middle of nowhere. For overnight stay, i would venture into Shanghai. -
Recomended for transit

Seoul, South Korea | May 27, 2025 | Trip type: Couplesimpossible to walk from/to it, 20 RMB to subway station by taxi(not legal). Very little English staffs. Shuttle service between airport and hotel. The property is not new and dirty carpet. No shopping mall around hotel.

Much better than expected.

Orange County, CA | Apr 13, 2025 | Trip type: Solo travelIf you just wanted a place to stay over night before taking a flight, it is a very good choice.
I had an early flight out of Pudong so I decided to stay at a hotel nearby the airport on the night before. For me, this hotel met my needs - the rate was very reasonable, room was large (not a suite), bathroom was spacious, modern and clean. There is free wi-fi, 2 free bottles of water and a water boiler to make hot water and tea bags - no coffee. I did not have breakfast there so cannot comment on it.
There is a nice restaurant night next to the hotel but I don't know the hours of operation.
When you walk out of the hotel, go left and between the second and third traffic light, there are many fruit stands, low end restaurants and a sizable convience/grocery store. I saw a KFC sign at the 3rd traffic.
I took the subway to Pudong airport and tried to get to the hotel using the hotel's shuttle servcie. However, since I did not have a local phone, I had to use a pay phone to contact the hotel and that person in turn gave me the phone number of the driver and told me to call the driver directly. The process was a bit of a pain since I did not have coins and the pay phone only takes coins (1 RMB for 3 minutes). -

Suzhou, China | Feb 18, 2025 | Trip type: Friends getawayJust what we needed after a long flight. Clean, comfortable, friendly and not expensive. The Problem is, you need the address written clearly in chinese to get here by taxi, and you also need the stomach for a chinese style breakfast.. Otherwise, its perfect when returning to china or waiting for a transfer.

Changzhou, China | Dec 20, 2025 | Trip type: Solo travelI found this place by accident when I needed an overnight room near Pudong airport. I was impressed with the beautiful room. I think I have one of the deluxe ones.
It was very late when I arrived and very early when I left so I did not get to see the whole scope of facilities but I would definitely stay again. The breakfast looked very good but I had to leave before It opened.
We struggled with the English a bit but managed. The desk people were very nice and tried to be helpful.
Good internet, and good TV selection. No complaints on the technology.
