Good hotel for good prize with simple access to the citycenter

I was a little afraid beeing so far away from the citycenter, but when I realized that going there it takes just 15 minutes by the excellent metro, I was glad that I made the decision to book that hotel. The hotel is very clean, the staff pleasing and the food good. Even the surrondings is very pleasant and somehow original, still Chinese. The only drawback is, that communicating with the staff is difficult, because almost nobody speaks English. Strongly recommend.
Great hotel for the price

We stayed here for one night as part of the tour, we didn't know exactly how much we paid for the hotel because it is part of the tour package, but according to our tour guide it is about $40, for that this is a great hotel.
Facility: The hotel looks fairly new, the public areas are very well maintained and decorated, the lobby and main restaurant look beautiful. Rooms are big and quite standard, and has extra spaces. Again, we seemed got into a smoking room again, which is quite common in China, there seems no non-smoking room for all the hotels we stayed. The room was very quite comparing with other older hotels.
Location: It is in the middle of a residential area and have many local restaurants in the area, we didn't see any recognizable restaurant names though, so you will need to pick a local one. It is next to a high rise road and also close to the Middle Ring Road, so I assume it is easy to access. We saw many business looking travelers in the hotel.
Breakfast: The buffet breakfast is really the highlight, it has tons of varieties of different types of food, Chinese style, Western style, local food, you can choose anything you want. The coffee was probably the best among all the hotels we stays during this trip.
WIFI: They have in-room free wifi, the connection speed wasn't very good but sufficient, that's common in China.
Overall this is a great hotel for the value of the money we paid. Although it is a local brand, it met the 3 and half or even 4 star standards. Keep up the good work!

This is a very large hotel, a bit far from any of the touristy sites in Shanghai. The breakfast was decent and abundant and the rooms were good sized. Also, they had all conceivable power outlets -- a nice benefit! Only two floors of the hotel are non-smoking, so if that is important to you please check on booking. There are some adequate restaurants in the neighborhood, but they can be difficult if you have no Chinese. Also, be warned that if the hotel is full, the wifi is so saturated as to be unusable.

20-30 minute taxi ride to People Square ( 5-6 Euros). Very elegant, clean and quiet. A place to find a good rest from all the excitement that Shanghai offers you. Good selection of food for breakfast. The stuff is very polite and helpful with sufficient knowledge of English. I recommend this hotel.

Guang Dong Hotel is a nice hotel little away from Shanghai crowd . The hotel has a nice friendly staff . There is a automatic money changer in the hotel which is nice to change the money any time required.
