• Budget Business Hotel close to IT Hub / Hongqiao Airport

  Hotel is located in Changning District which is the new IT business district - so it was very easy for me to commute to office. However, as per the usual Shanghai practice, it was a nightmare to get a TAXI during rush hours - Hotel provides very less options for nearby taxi pickups. The staff wasn't very helpful on day 1 when I arrived and there was no bell boy concept. (I had lot of luggage and I struggled to drag them all). I was given the entry card and no other info as to which floor or even where the lift was - so I was pretty annoyed. Breakfast was excellent with wide variety. Although there is a no smoking board, people smoke everywhere so beware if you are allergic (this is normal Shanghai practice though). Checkout formalities were pretty smooth. They do have couple of ATMs and they also do the online police registration for foreigners. Overall, happy with price and breakfast and Unhappy with the service.
  Around 1 hour by Taxi from Pudong Airport (200 RMB) and 20 min from Hongqiao (40 RMB).
  Line 13 just beneath the hotel and a wide variety of eateries in the MET mall below..

• Simple and Worth the Price

  The hotel is located near Shanghai Hongqiao Airport (SHA), and as well as a Shanghai Metro Station. Depending on where you are planning to stay, it's to some extend convenient in terms of transportation. We were visiting a client, so we picked this one based on location.
  The reception staff was nice to help, but they seems to be unfamiliar with the area nearby. When we asked some transportation information, they looked puzzled.
  The room I was staying was average, but smelly. I understand that there isn't a non-smoking room in that hotel. Beddings were clean, and I slept like a baby during my stay. The bathroom is also clean. Though not spacious, the bathroom is big enough for me. Oh, there wasn't a bathtub. The TV in my room didn't work all the time: no pictures shown when it was unhappy :). Noise proof in the room was average and it's very easy to hear neighbouring rooms closing their doors, and housekeeping staff working in the corridor.Most guests were business people, so it was quiet at night: no drunk men knocking the wrong doors or baby crying.
  The hotel provides simple breakfast buffet for all the guests in both Chinese and western styles. There wasn't a lot of choices for breakfast around (except for a Starbucks), so I supposed this is very important for people hurrying to work like me.
  Laundry corner is self-service and it takes a special coin that can be purchased at the reception for 40 CNY (for washing and another for drying). Housekeeping can also help you wash clothes.
  No fitness centre, nor swimming pool, or anything else in the hotel. But there is a newly opened Japanese hot spring one block away.
  Considering the price, this is a good choice for people doing business nearby, if they just want a simple place to sleep.

• Clean and nice but English is a prnlem

  The hotel is nice and cosy but some of the staff have very poor English. Starbucks is under the hotel as well which is great as well as a couple of restaurants.
  The hotel is very far from most main areas of attraction too but you can book a room with a very reasonable price.

• Very well kept hotel and worth the price

  Hotel is in perfect location, it is walking distance to a row of fishing tackle stores. and just 3 subway stops away from Jinshajiang shopping centre. Price is reasonable for Shanghai standard, and it includes breakfast, nice restaurants and even a starbucks beside the hotel. I found everything I needed in this hotel. even an automated money changer in the hotel lobby.

  the hotel is the usual Holiday Inn Express (clean with Wifi) but with a difference. It is quite out of the way but connected to a food mall with a great selection of restaurants (Sushi, Macdonald's, Starbucks, ...) and also very close to the Metro station which is the best way to beat the Shanghai traffic. Overall I'm happy with my stay at a great price,
