Nice convenient airport hotel
Bob K
Springboro, Ohio, United States | Sep 18, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessThe Ramada at the Shanghai-Pudong airport is convienent and reasonably priced.
During my stay they were upgrading the rooms, so there is some construction going on. But over all it is a present place to stay.
If you could I would suggest getting a rate that includes the breakfast. I also had their pizza and beer room service special. It was reasonably priced and nice to eat while working in the room. -

Pleasant stay for business
XtaCee
Singapore, Singapore | Aug 29, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessMy 2 night stay was pleasant. Room is clean and does not smell l.
However, quality of the soaps shampoo provided could be better.
Room service is good. Tried ordering a late dinner and food arrived in good presentation and still piping hot. Ordered a scoop of ice cream as well and it came to me looking like a sundae with toppings, not just a bare scoop of ice cream. Impressive indeed.
Breakfast selection is extensive and international. There's even take out cups for us to bring coffee along as we stroll across the road to our offices.
Plentiful of food options across the road outside the business park. Great location to stay if your business is located there.
If you are venturing out for sightseeing, peak hours jams might take you 1 hour. -
Nice renovated rooms but still some problems with stay
TheTravelingSnows
Richmond, Vermont | Jul 25, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessThis hotel is the Ramada in east Pudong NOT the Ramada next to the airport. I stayed here for 10 nights in July 2015. The rooms appear to be newly renovated; my floor even smelled of fresh paint when I arrived. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed for my stay. I ate breakfast at the hotel daily and found there was a wide range of options and everything I had was good (I especially appreciated the daily dim sum).
I do, however, have two major complaints about the hotel that would preclude me from staying there in the future. First, the internet didn't seem to have the bandwidth to support a hotel of this size. In the evenings (presumably when more people were online) I was simply unable to do work. Pages wouldn't load, emails wouldn't send. It was crippling. In the early morning things were very fast, so I had to readjust my email schedule to get work done in the morning. I needed to pull a large file from my work's server one night and there was no way it was going to be possible at the Ramada. I used the public wifi in the lobby of the Marriott across the street (I had colleagues who were also going to Starbucks down the street to do work).
My second complaint was about the fitness center. It was a smaller space on the fourth floor, and as a morning exerciser I attempted on more than one occasion to work out around 6 a.m. The gym was sweltering hot and humid and it felt like a tropical rainforest. This was the case every morning (I am including a picture of a treadmill after one user had just gotten off- it has puddles of sweat on it). I was never comfortable pushing it for more than 20-25 minutes in the heat. It seemed like it could be a dangerous situation having the fitness center so warm. I did go in one night, and it was not as warm (but definitely not sufficiently air conditioned either). Perhaps they don't turn the air on until the staff shows up in the morning? Regardless, it was a huge disappointment. The upside- there are nice tree lined streets near the hotel with wide sidewalks and running outside is a possibility. I did that many mornings; it was warm outside but at least there could be a breeze rather than the breathless conditions in the gym.
Overall this hotel could be good for you if an adequate fitness center or internet bandwidth are not factors in your hotel choice. The neighborhood is nice with a variety of restaurants and is very walkable. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff were friendly. For my needs, however, you'll probably find me across the road at the Marriott next time. -
It was ok!

Adelaide | Jul 16, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessI have stayed at this hotel twice now and it is ok for business travel but not great.
The rooms are comfortable enough but each time I've stayed here the rooms have smelt like smoke even though I've requested no smoking rooms.
Beside this... the breakfast is adequate and the rooms are reasonable I just don't know if It would be my first choice in the area.
