  I had an overnight stay in Shanghai from Bali, so I looked for an affordable accommodation and this one came up.
  The two biggest pros of this hotel are the price that's fit for a budget traveler, and surprisingly, the room.When you enter the dilapidated structure, you will be alarmed by how shady this place looks and smells. There is a lingering musty smell over this maze-like interior structure so one would expect a tiny room full of mold and reeking of smoke. However, the room was actually quite decent. It was quite spacious, with a big bed, a flat screen TV, a table, and a standard restroom. The bed was big enough for an adult to roll around. It would have been cherry on the top to have softer sheets and thicker comforters while rolling around but what can I say? It is not a crazy moldy hell I was expecting! The restroom was actually quite clean, despite the chipped tiles and the musty smell.
  Contrary to many reviews I have read on tripadvisor, I didn't think the location was prime. I must have gotten the wrong impression that it was extremely close to the train station and main attractions, but truth be told, it was a bit of a walk. The fact that Renmin Square station is humongous is one reason why I thought it was a bit farther, but I have to say I walked a good 15-20 minutes from the station. The receptionist was a courteous young man who didn't speak much English. When I needed desperate help trying to reach someone abroad, he just repeated he couldn't help me and that his English wasn't good. At least he was polite.
  Overall, it is a decent place to rest your head for the night. I would not recommend this place to families and god forbid, to couples on a romantic vacations. If you are traveling alone or with friends, tight on budget and couldn't be bothered to look for a good hostel, this might do the trick.

  I stayed here almost every time I come to Shanghai. It is easy to access to everywhere in Shanghai, as it is a walking distance to People Square where you can take a underground train (MRT). Just spend RMB7.50 and it takes about 1.15 hours from Pudong Airport to People Sqaure, especially during peak hours whereby the road journey may take longer time.
  The hotel Is value for money with internet access.

  When choosing a hotel, I look for certain things: close to train station, elevator, near attractions but not too close. This hotel sells a VIP card which gives a discount, worth it for a few days. This is not the Ritz but it is clean, staff are competent and lets face it, who spens much time at the hotel when touring. Bathroom is adequate bed is normal Asian hard but good value for money and unbelievable location. When I tried to do my review, I was not sure they had the right place. The one I went to was 555 Fuzhou road. ENJOY

  After I booked a hotel room (it was a bindig booking via hrs.de!), they have called me and cancelled my reservation because the price was wrong on the website. It was not my mistake but they did not care. Costumer is king. But definitely not here. So I had to look for another room 3 days after my binding booking. I am really dissapointed.

  I stayed here because my company booked and paid. The hotel is moderately clean, though the smell of cigarette smoke was off putting and the decor is grubby. One receptionist spoke English which was helpful, although they were not very polite. The bed was better than the standard rock hard one you find in many places here. I paid top price so had a window and my own bathroom. Plenty of hot water tho the bathroom was dingy.
  Wired internet was available. Security was a worry as the door is flimsy and my room was next to the back entrance. There were no laundry facilities available, not even paid ones and not even an iron. The water is not drinkable, although you could buy water. I had a long walk each day to find breakfast, the location is not great.
  Each night I was phoned and offered a massage, which bemused me.
