Good if you need to be in this area
Edses
Lyons-la-Foret, France | Oct 2, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessWe needed to stay in this area so this hotel was better than the one down the road. The service was good and the room perfectly fine. The hotel mainly aims to cater for Koreans. The downside of this is that breakfast is a delight for those who like Korean food, but not really for this of a western bent. I ate toast, peanut butter and yoghurt. There is great fruit but the cooked food is very oily. The plus side is that the mini bar is totally un-tempting unless you like Korean cup noodles and herb tea. I arrived early (12) and it took a couple of hours to get checked in- so they sent me fruit to apologise. The service was faultless throughout and when I asked for a non smoking room I got one. The rooms contain umbrellas, robes and slippers, but no iron or ironing board- though they will bring them quickly. The laundry service is great and the wi-fi continuous but slow. I will go back to work in this area and would use this hotel, but if you have a choice of location in Shanghai you could get better value. This area is Korean, so there is a great choice of food.

Great Hotel continues to get better!

Portland, OR | Aug 24, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessThis is my second review of the Dijon and I always look forward to a stay here. The staff is great and the location is an easy walk to may restaurants/bars for great options in the evening. One does not even need to go out however as the restaurant is great as well and has been remodeled. An onsite gym and reasonably priced suites are more reasons to pick the Dijon. The General Manager typically is out in the lobby each morning interacting with the guests and it is apparent that he truly cares about the guest and the success of the property. I look forward to my next stay for sure!

modern decor in the Korean district

Los Angeles, California | Aug 19, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessIt's near the Korean district with modern decor and clienteles are mostly Korean. They have a great breakfast buffet included with the price of the room. And we all got a suite, the living room is sorta a waste of space. Much rather have a bigger room. Bathroom is clean and with shower stall only which is fine. Although not in terrible shape, carpet can use a good shampooing. All and all is a pleasant stay, and if you like Korean food, you are in the right area.

Nice hotel

Burgess Hill, United Kingdom | May 8, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessAs has been reported previously the hotel is located in the Korean district of Shanghai so one will expect it to be popular with Korean visitors. The hotel is well presented, modern looking with well proportioned rooms which are clean with free wifi which on occasions a little slow but not a major issue. The breakfasts were aimed at the Asian market but there was enough choice to satisfy western visitors. The staff were overall friendly and spoke English, the bell boy was exceptional who was aware of service whose command of English was also good.
I certainly would stay here again and some comments made previously by other contributors were not apparent during my 4 night stay at all - good price to pay for this almost 4 star establishment. -

Perth, Australia | Mar 25, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessGreat small hotel that looks sort of ok from the front but inside it is vey spacious and the rooms are huge. A bit away from the Bund but that is reflected in the price. Breakfast was pretty much Chinese (no surprise this far out of the main area) but the staff we're helpful. Room was huge and had a good shower - always important to me. Would stay here again.
