  We stayed here for a night - we won a prize so we took a little staycation. Rooms are pretty nice - beds are comfortable, there are soft and hard pillows, bedding smelled fresh. Some of the furniture arrangements are a bit odd, but whatever. The bathrooms are a little small, and the tub is kind of high, which made me worry about slipping, but had no problems. Good water pressure and temperature in the shower, which to me is important. Tolietries average for a Holiday Inn.
  Room service is quick and rather affordable. The hotel has a number of restaurants with reasonable prices. We tried the buffet breakfast, which has plenty of options for both Asian and Western tastes. They have espresso machines so you can make your own real coffee (a big plus). The hotel is within walking distance of a few restaurants too, so if you want to get some Western fare you can walk to a bunch of places.
  The pool is what this hotel is most famous for - it has a glass bottom on one end so you're looking 24 stories down. It's clean and not as noisy but they WILL make you wear a swim cap (?????).
  Can't believe you have to pay for internet - 100RMB for 24 hours...seems like a bit much to me.
  Overall, not a bad place especially Kangqiao is not that interesting.

  The hotel itself is quite good as you would expect from a Holiday Inn.
  But the shower experience was quite something. Several people in our group had the same issue. Turning on the bath water was easy, but turning on the shower was very tricky, and even impossible for some ! Those had to wash their hair kneeling in the bathtub to use the tub faucet...!
  Whoever chose this faucet only thought about staff convenience or cost, but for sure did not consider customers operation.
  This should definitely not stop you from booking this hotel, but I would definitely complain to the hotel that the instructions are not clear at all. And I would ask someone to come for demonstration.... unless you are willing to spend a lot of time looking at that faucet feeling stupid...

  I just had nice stay at this hotel.it was verr good and convenient.the location of the hotel is very quiet.the staff were friendly and helpful.The front desk area is clean and the staff were very good and spoke good english. I will be here soon.thanks!

  The property is one of the hotels in the Shanghai closer to the Industrial District and therefore very close to the point of business. But the lack of English speaking skills is so very frustating that you might think learning Sign Language would be less stressful. The rooms are moderately decent, food quality in the in room dining atrocious and possibly becuase they encourage you to eat out side the hotel. There are a number of quite decent restaurants within 10-15 minutes walking distance from the hotel lobby. We found a very decent Cantonese Cuisine restaurant on the 3rd Floor of the Hotel but again the service quality of the staff is much to be desired. From a business visit point of view, moderately OK but not enough value for money. My advice, learn some basic Chinese words to help you through.
