KNow what you're getting before you book.
Jemge
Tyler | Jun 9, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessFirst, don't book unless you specify in writing by their request form, and GET CONFIRMATION your room will be on the east side. Otherwise, you will be right above the #3 and #4 subway and will have a lot of noise from 5:30 AM until 11 PM EVERY DAY. No one there speaks English. VERY CONVENIENT to lines 2, 3, and 4 at Zhongshan Park; huge mall and Carrefour store (cheap groceries) and even two McDonald's places inside the station. Rooms are average cleanliness (for China-below average for western standards) and are cleaned only once a week, and then only if you stay more than a week. However, the internet is very very good, the kitchen has dishes and a microwave and good refrigerator, the AC is great, and even a washing machine (no washing machine detergent though). I would give it four stars if I had been on the east side. Warning, the escalator to the entry floor works at odd times, and is turned off late night. When you go in there is a check-in desk...that's not for you! There are several companies using this building for hotel rooms! You must take the elevator to 5th floor and the check-in desk is right there. HINT: there is another company on the 23rd floor, they may be cheaper. Lushan or Lashan, sorry can't remember. Sometimes, it's tough to get a timely response from them after the initial booking.

Good choice
Rex M
Naples, Florida | Mar 26, 2025 | Trip type: BusinessLocated next to Zhong Shang Park and to the metro lines leading downtown, this hotel is a perfect choice if you are in Shanghai for a short time business trip or for a longer stay. Around the hotel, you find a lot of malls and international brands, but also smaller streets with local supermarket and ordinary chinese life. Really a good balance. The hotel management was average but always friendly, the washer had a recurrent leak and the internet wifi really unstable... but if you stay calm and open minded, you will finally get satisfied by the slow but efficient management. As often in China, there is also a bit prostitution inside the hotel (you find cards for call-girls under your door in the morning), but no harassement.

Great Flat to stay in Shanghai
rkrossi
Sao Paulo, SP | Jan 5, 2026 | Trip type: CouplesIt's not a Hotel neither a hostel. It's a FLAT! with everything you need: Microwave, Fire, TV, Internet, Wash Machine, Refrigerator and Privacy. They only clean your room if you stay more than 7 days.
Tip: when you arrive there, the escalator in front of the hotel is broken, so, go to the parking behind and get the elevator to 2° floor, them go to the building, look for the another elevator and get to the 5° floor, them you find the Desk!
tip 2: When you go out, keep your lights on, so nobody will put porn advertising through your door -
Will not communicate
pomperlaryjig b
Sunshine Coast, Australia | May 8, 2025 | Trip type: Solo travelI recently booked this hotel on Booking.com. Due to a change of itinerary and dates I had to cancel this booking. The booking was a no fee, free cancelation type that Booking.com usually have, and which I have used many times.
The Hotel had secured the full amount of what was to be my 6 night stay on my Debit card, upon cancellation, the funds weren't released...talking cash here...so after 2 days I contacted them and explained to them the situation and they assured me the funds were released, but they weren't.
I accept this may be my bank being cautious, so I contacted them. I had to get the hotel to fill out a 4 point stat dec releasing the funds via an email, which I sent all the details.
Since then I have had no contact from them and my cash is still frozen.Obviously not happy, also Booking.com have not replied either.
I visit Shanghai every 6 months and never have I had this problem.
I am very disappointed with what has happened and hope for a resolution soon. I would think twice before booking this accomm. ever again. It has been over a week now and still no progress as hotel will not communicate. -
Less than acceptable

Newport Beach, California | Feb 19, 2025 | Trip type: Friends getawayOur experience was quite different from other reviewers.
We changed rooms hoping for a room that was clean to no avail.
Our stay was for seven nights and was the low point for Shanghai.
From the broken escalator to the tired lobby then a filty room
With constant cigarette smoke through the ventilation and the porno cards under our door made for a unpleasant experience.
