Jitai Hotel

Newcastleton, United Kingdom | Apr 14, 2025 | Trip type: Friends getawayStayed here with friends for the weekend of the Formula 1. It's a pretty OK place, nothing too great. It's very conveniently located, being only a couple minutes walk from Subway line 2. It has a free breakfast and Wi-Fi but the latter was very unreliable. The staff seemed pretty disinterested, and the shower was visible through a barely covered window in the wall of the bedroom. The windows don't have much soundproofing, so it can be hard to fall asleep. Overall, it's a pretty standard big city Hotel, but if all you want is a bed then it should be fairly satisfactory.

Complaint about Easytobook
Ulrich S
Shanghai | May 31, 2025 | Trip type: Friends getawayConsidering the price, the hotel was OK. What is not OK is the claim of Easytobook that you can change the booking. When we wanted to shorten our stay from May 10-28 to May 10-12 and May 27-28 online, we got the message in small print that changes are possible only before 3 days before the beginning of a hotel stay.
We used the hotel only for 5 nights of the 20 nights we booked. It would be fair if we got a compensation for the time we did not use it but paid. We'll send you the number of our account after you have agreed.
Regards,
Ulrich Steinvorth -

India | Oct 12, 2025 | Trip type: Businessbooked online and paid CNY 300 for a night's stay, no breakfast included.
Staff doesn't speak any English despite Shanghai being an international city.
Got a room on the 3rd (top) floor. The floor passage was disgustingly dirty and stinky and smelled of cigarettes, as if it the carpet has never been vacuumed. I had a bit of a cough from the previous day, which developed into a full blown infection by the morning, and I suspect it was because of the dust and smoke in the hotel. It ruined my next 4 days of holiday.
The airconditioning in the room did not cool at all, so we had to spend the night with the windows fully open and noise from traffic below did not help matters. Wifi did not work at all either in the room or in the "lobby", which got my roommate to go out of the hotel at 1130pm to find a business with a working wifi connection.
Hot water shower worked just fine, which helped us to get the hell out of this godforsaken place as early as we could, in the morning. Could not find taxi outside the hotel and explaining that to the the staff was hopeless, so had to walk 10 mins to get the main road and find a taxi by the park.
Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. -

Hong kong | Jul 9, 2025 | Trip type: Solo travelI booked 10 nights -- and came back last night to my room missing my passport, bag, and neckties. The room was completely empty, like no one knew I was staying there 10 nights. The front desk said gruffly, "there's nothing I can do!" "Standing here won't solve your problems!"
I now have to miss a flight, spend 5 days and over $500+ applying for a new passport and Chinese Visa for this miserable hotel.
Hotels.com is escalating to remove this hotel from their listings. Cancel your bookings unless you want a dirty hotel with apathetic staff who will accuse you of losing your own things -- and a front desk that refuses to give you a new hotel key because yours was gone -- even when they charge you 50RMB.
Cleaning staff come in and out without knocking. When you politely say in Chinese no cleaning needed, they yell at you and say "don't blame them later." In 1 day, 3 people came into my room without knocking.
The Internet doesn't even work, and you can hear people having sex clearly, and people in the hall, kids screaming. If you only want to sleep in a room for 5 hours, this is your hotel, but if you have self respect for yourself, don't stay here.
The breakfast buffet is a disgusting squeeze for fried rice. I have never used the 10 vouchers after I saw this sight. There was yelling, pushing, and the worst characteristics you'd see from Chinese people.
In the early mornings, hotel front desk staff, security guards, and workers are fall asleep on couches for guests.
I've booked 400+ hotels this year for myself and my staff, but this was the most disgusting excuse for a hotel. Don't try to save pennies going here (which is what I tried to do), because you will lose more in the long run. -
Okay hotel, terrible staff
BananaHater13
London, United Kingdom | May 10, 2025 | Trip type: FamilyWe stayed in a triple room, which was okay; beds were fine, although the covers were clean there were a few holes. Walls were pretty thin and could hear the other people. The bathroom was nice, apart from a window where the shower was which you could see straight through! Staff were unprofessional, not particularly helpful and rude. We arrived late at night and it took a long time to check us in, but the receptionist gave us no indication whether we our booking was still valid or any information. I would not stay here again or recommend others too either.
