Great hotel at a Great Price

I think this is one of my favourite hotels out of all that I've stayed in Shanghai. It's a decently well located hotel with nice malls next to it - but the overall experience is definitely that of a 5* hotel.
Very good service and staff (although I had a small issue with the Concierge) - the manager was nice enough to come up to my room to discuss the issue with his staff. Rooms are nice, although the bathroom doors are a little different - they're sliders. Big room though, with all the amenities you would expect in a top class hotel.
You've got a starbucks, convenience store, malls and restaurants all nearby. It's not too far from important areas like the Bund either, but i would keep in mind that traffic would certainly affect you reaching the bund in the evenings.

I like to stay in this hotel every time I go to visit Shanghai. One of main reason is the room rate. Beside that, the hotel offer good choice of food for breakfast. Beside the hotel is a shopping mall and food court, so it is quite convenience. The room of hotel is quite new and I can sleep well on the bed of the hotel. The only setback is the location is not easy to catch taxi during rush hour.

I have been staying at the Renaissance Shanghai Putuo Hotel during my business trips to Shanghai for over three years. I return because of its great service, beautiful rooms, great service, convenient neighborhood, great service, easy Metro (subway) access, and - did I mention - great service. The hotel is a bit out of the way in the Putuo, but it is not hard to get to. I originally liked it for the multilevel shopping mall next door, but that appears to be under complete renovation. Still, there is a supermarket and food court on its lower level that is handy.

The hotel is a good standard.
Price is correct.
The rooms are correct and enough spacious.
A nice swimming pool : don't forget your swimming hat !
Well located faraway from down ten traffic jam.
The staff is nice and helpful.
Breakfast : lot of choices.
However the hotel is always full with big groups from companies meetings. So very crowded for breakfast too !
Not a boutique hotel, just a nice simple hotel for business.

Been there for 3 days in august 2015. Suitably placed to reach Hongqiao (Shanghai domestic airport) and on the subway station line 7 to easily reach city centre and the bund. It has a selection of restaurants with different cousines (including a japanese with nice sushi). On top of that it is also reasonably priced for this category of hotels in Shanghai.
